There were fewer stand-out acts, for me, from the latest episode. It felt like we'd been waiting absolutely ages for somebody amazing to come on. My favourites were probably Bill Downs ("She Said"), Hannah Berney ("Yoü and I") and Bo Bruce. I, again, completely disagree with people who think it's unfair that Nathan James didn't get through - he's not what they're looking for, so why should they pick him? His arrogant personality was just another reason for them not to.

In ratings news - The Voice UK now leads to overlap by more than 4 million on Britain's Got Talent, and how now overtaken in total viewers (9.54m in comparison with 9.43m)! Source.

If I recall correctly in the first series of the us one at least Blake didn't have a full team after everyone had auditioned so they got to decide who they wanted to see again from earlier

I dipped in and out of the first series so must've missed that  This series I remember it was pretty unfair though, all 3 of the other coaches had full teams, but Christina had one spot left and they showed a montage of her rejecting like 10 people (one of whom I remember was AMAZING and better than almost anyone she has on her team now) until she finally fell for this woman who sang I'm Going Down by Mary J Blige, she loved her so much she did the cringey 'get up on stage and sing with her' thing, which thankfully we haven't had that yet on our version!

I'm not actually sure what happens if they don't have a full team, miraculously that never happens, good question though, I wonder if it will happen here as we're more dramatic with our reality shows :P

It does get tougher near the end though (especially when one or two judges have their teams full) as even if someone is really amazing they may be rejected still because they're not what the coach is looking for. Christina Aguilera was last to fill her team this series, she rejected one amazing girl in particular but she eventually found someone. I wonder did they tell everyone else to go home then as all slots were filled? That's the bit of the for at I find unfair, you have to be lucky enough to not be at the very end, though I guess after producer auditions they place all the proper amazing ones so that they are spread out to each episode but also so that none are missed.

Is this not just filmed continually over 1/2 days? Cos a few of the judges have been wearing the same clothes for each episode so far...

As Theo said, yes but following the producer auditions I'd imagine they strategically place those who they know are pretty much the most talented so that they definitely get a place on someone's team.

Caught up with Saturdays episode, finally. Bo Bruce was as good as I'd hoped she was but I agree with what Rooney said about her being hated and disliked by the UK public. Both her and Tyler James had the sort of attitude where they thought "I'm too good for this shit" or whatever. Tyler James was rubbish. Kate Read was lovely and I think she has potential to grow and maybe become the Dia Frampton for us.

That random clip of that Ruth-Ann (the one where Jessie buzzed and none of the other judges really understood why). I can see where the others were coming from, but I can definitely see why Jessie turned. She has potential to be "amazing" and I guess that she will actually help her out and give her the coaching she needs to be very good.

Emmy was just okay. So over girls with those sickly sweet vocals dominating these shows now. Jenny Jones was really karaoke...

The Irish girl was really quite surprising. I would be willing to bet she'll go far in this...

Indie & Pixie are a good catch for Jessie.

Tom Jones seems to be having the older generation, I'm surprised he didn't press the button for Ben Lake

There haven't been many downright bad singers on this show but Indie & Pixie could barely hold a note.

It felt like they saved a lot of the best for last this week. I love Will but he could do with keeping his monologues to a minimum, ha ha.

I agree that they definitely saved some of the best until last, which is of course risky with them having fewer spaces available.

Sophie Griffin was my favourite of the night - she sounded so professional, and at such a young age too! I expected Becky Hall to be similar to the girl from earlier in the show that didn't get through - apart from the faux-indie/hipster personalities that they think they have, they could've have been much more different! Emmy J Mac was also brilliant, and I was pleased to see Danny take her.

The guy who sang "Kiss from a Rose" I thought was better than Jaz when he sang "The A Team", but his performance afterwards of "Ordinary People" was mindblowing! I couldn't say which was better though out of the two covers. Also, the girl who sang "This Love" was good, but then during her middle eight or whatever it was a bit weird.

Why did all four judges hit their buttons when those two girls performed 'Perfect'? All I heard was average karoake singers and nothing unique at all. How can they justify saying it's "unique" when they were flat for most of the song, and we've had plenty of female duos over the years who have been successful to some extent.

Pepsi & Shirly, Aly & AJ, Shampoo, t.A.T.u, The Reynolds Girls, The Veronicas, etc... Unique? My ass!!! -_-

Is it just me who found Jaz really overrated? I thought Becky sang the song far better, Jaz was just a copycat John Legend really.

Becky and Sophie were my favourites tonight, I was gutted Harriet didn't make it though because she was SO good!

Bookies faves as they stand are:

7/1 Jaz Ellington

8/1 Joelle Moses

Looking good for Will.I.AM then - however the format of the show (one or two from each team goes each week) will ensure that this won't be the top 2 as they are both Will.I.AM's. It would be VERY tense if these two had to go head to head in the Battle Round, though I'm sure Will.I.AM won't do that to himself and lose a potential winner just yet. But I'm sure in his final decision of who will be his last one standing, it will be between these two.

Yeah, Indie & Pixie were terrible. So annoying personality wise too ... think my favourite was the girl who sang 'Ordinary People' even though, again, she annoyed me personality wise. The guy at the end was v.good as was the girl who sang 'When Love Takes Over' too.

Jessie J wanted them and she did used the word "unique"

Catching up with this and my favourite was definitely whoever sang Ordinary People, she was really rather good and had such a soulful tone to her.

I thought she was awful  I never liked the song although the bloke who did it at the end made me change my mind a little. The bloke before him (Pack Up / Don't Worry Be Happy) was rather unlucky.
