Where is Crap Cardle?

The X-Factor guest performers are getting really stale now. Katy will now have performed two songs from the same album next week, The Wanted will be on two years in a row and then we still have Leona, Alexandra, JLS, Rebecca, One Direction, Olly and Cher to look forward to plus the annual returns from Michael Buble and Robbie Williams, and then Simon's new favourites Pixie Lott and Jessie J. Wonder if we'll ever have someone like Tinie Tempah, The Saturdays, Chris Brown, B.O.B, Ke$ha, Jason Derulo, Example, The Script, Plan B, Ellie Goulding, Chase and Status, Mike Posner, Eminem, Nicki Minaj or Bruno Mars?

But you have to bear in mind that the performers on X Factor need to, firstly, be really big stars to draw in viewers (so this rules out the likes of Jason Derulo, The Script, The Saturdays, Plan B, Ellie Goulding, etc.), and need to appeal to the viewership of the show/be Heart FM-friendly (so this rules out the likes of Tinie Tempah, B.o.B, Example, Chase and Status, Eminem and Nicki Minaj).

 

This does basically leave you with X Factor artists and Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Brtiney Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc.

 

I could see Bruno Mars performing. He's a big enough star to draw in viewers I think. And Mike Posner might perform with Cher!

I do actually think Ellie Goulding would attract viewers thought because she's different and has such a big fanbase.

I can actually see her duetting with Janet if she gets to the final with 'The Writer', and it finally becoming the smash hit it should have been.

Well, if they can be getting people like Lady Gaga to perform, there's no way they'd get Ellie. I really think she'd be like a last resort. They've got loads of artists associated with the show, and then the big International pop stars to choose from, which doesn't leave much room for anyone I think. If we get UK artists performing, all the past contestents, Adele, Jessie J, Labrinth/Tinie, Take That and N-Dubz would all take priority over Ellie. I just can't see her performing. Unless Labrinth decides to do a medley and throws in Wonderman into his performance. :lol:

 

The Writer is a great song though. I could see that getting a big boost from X Factor usage.

I doubt it'll miss the top 40 this week, but at the same time, it's really not doing that well. I think it'll peak in the top 20.

I'm not sure either, because he doesn't fulfill those two main requirements (being a big name to draw in viewers, and having songs that appeal to Heart FM people). The only reason they might sacrifice that to let him perform is because of the record label that he's on.

An updated version of the Timbaland "sound" would be a welcome change (although if 'Shock Value II' is anything to go off then perhaps not) but this attempt at being current is disastrous. Truly awful stuff.
