Yes only 2 no.1s but some (Chain Reaction, One For Sorrow) were pretty unlucky getting pitted against some big name no.1s. I just remember they always did Heartbeat on tv shows like Blue Peter, yet Tragedy was getting the most radio play until they realised people loved it and then they'd always do Tragedy everywhere.

Agree, they really were the Rihanna/Kylie of their day and had so many #2's (One For Sorrow, Better Best Forgotten, Love's Got A Hold On My Heart, It's The Way You Make Me Feel, Chain Reaction).

Funny you should say that as its following a very similar pattern to Ambitions. Joe climbed to #2 (Matt to #4) on itunes on the Monday after his XF performance and then just gradually dropped throughout the week and wasn't in the Top 10 come the weekend. He ended up charting at #6. Could be around the same for Matt.

Top 40 on Sunday please, it's already been top 40 in the mids but dropped out by the Sunday twice this year (when it was 59p but put back up partway through the week, then again the following week when it experienced a fairly short-lived boost back to the top 40 due to Glasto) :(

MBDTF was just a complete masterpiece. If a more popular artist in the UK released it, it would have had a run like Adele's 21. Kanye's done himself no favours with his public issues (Taylor-Gate) but he showed that his musical talents INCREASED. Probably the best rap album since his own College Dropout.

 

Would be so happy if Power went top 40, because it would climb if it did.
