Hopefully Kelly Clarkson can pull a shock and beat both of them.

I'd like to think there's a chance she can go at least top 3 but I'm fully expecting a top 2 of The Wanted and Lana (in that order) with Riharris still at #3, Maroon 5 at #4 and Kelly battling GCH for #5 at best, possibly charting even lower :(

Kelly is on the X Factor next weekend so i think it will do well.

Kelly is on the X Factor next weekend so i think it will do well.

It's a week too late though, it would have been better for her to go on it on Sunday but instead we're getting treated with The Wanted's boring new song (which will cement its obvious #1 status even further) and a year-old Katy Perry song. Fun.

Hopefully the boost from XF can make it climb in its second week, although I should think Pro Green and Labrinth/Tinie have the top 2 wrapped up so I can't see MKIA peaking any higher than #3, which is a shame as it's by some distance her best single to date IMO :(

I went to see her at the O2 last night and WOW can she sing and perform! Calvin Harris was really good too but I honestly didn't realise Rihanna would command the stage the way she did. :o If anyone is going to see her on tour, prepare yourselves for 'Unfaithful' and 'Love The Way You Lie Part II'!

I saw her in the SECC Glasgow on Tuesday and my god it was amazing. I thought Calvin was shit though, what was the point in playing mostly other peoples songs? And I have to say I completely agree, 'Unfaithful' & 'Love The Way You Lie Part II' were by far the best live. I was always a fan of 'LTWYLPII' but it was never one of my favourites, but I have fell in love with it so much more since, it sounds so much better live.

The lap dance was rather fabulous during Skin too

It should get released just for the innuendos alone. :P

I can see the comparisons to Hey Mickey! it has the same beat. It is miles better than Love Game (although the lyrics are probably equally as controversial!).

I suppose its asking too much to release it as a 7th single :(

If people didn't take Peacock so seriously, it might do okay, but that's not going to happen. There'll be some people who get mortified by it.

From the perspective of her getting the 6 consecutive US #1s, I think Peacock would've had a better chance than The One That Got Away. I think the latter has no chance, unless they've got some really insane promotion strategies planned, whilst Peacock I think has the off-chance that it'll just click with the public even though it seems like it should be total cringe (a bit like with Sexy and I Know It atm).

Love The Way You Lie Part 11?! Did I miss parts 3-10?

Was gonna say. I do love LTWYL, but I think after 11 different versions of the song I'd get a bit bored.

I agree Peacock would have been her only chance of getting a sixth straight US #1 from this album, but any song would take an insanely successful and original campaign to get there. LFN(T.G.I.F.) was incredibly lucky to reach #1 and it required a last-second pulling of the 'remix card' (although it did actually stay #1 for a second week so perhaps it could have done it anyway).

Being a sixth straight UK top 10 hit from the same album with no re-release would be almost as impressive as well and far more achievable - although I doubt a US/international superstar particularly cares if her song gets to #7 or #37 in the UK which is a comparatively tiny country

Last Friday Night made me laugh, how it missed #1 all those weeks it was sitting at #1 on iTunes, but then got the #1 officially when it wasn't even in the top 10 on iTunes! Such is the US charts I guess.
Where does it say that Kelly Clarkson is performing on Xfactor next week?

anyone have a list of xfactor performances??

whens that silly rememberance day single being released that the finalists sing?must be the 6/11 or something....be prepared for an even weaker sales than last year but easily a week at no1!!

then we have the CIN single on the 13/11!!

The X Factor Finalists single has been released on a different week each year - 'Hero' came out on week 44 of 2008, 'You Are Not Alone' on week 47 of 2009 and 'Heroes' on week 48 of 2010 (exact week numbering may vary but the point remains the same that they were released on different weeks of the year). Should definitely be out at some point in the next two months anyhow.

I don't think the X Factor finalists are doing a song for charity this year, I heard they are recording and releasing a song for the christmas M&S advert instead.

Labrinth ft Tinie

Definitely a #1 contender when released.

Matt  #10 :o

Calvin at #11! Back to top 10 soon? (59p)

Guetta & Usher  #12 (video now out)

Superbass #22, they should make it 59p could see a return to top 20!

Charlene

could be #1 very very soon ;)

Now Guesher's video is out I expect they'll knock Matt out of the top 10 tomorrow. I can already hear the cries of flop. Hopefully Matt can hold out for the day and get knocked out of the top 10 by one of the new releases.
The X. :D

Its being performed on a certain TV show tomorrow night apparently.

Oh. Should have guessed that.

I think that would probably aid the original version more than Charlene's but Charlene could get a decent boost off it. Would be AMAZING if both versions could be top 10 but it's unlikely. (It might not even get performed, last week someone said Amelia was doing 'Who Knew' and that never happened )

Exactly Bre you never know, I did think though i could see the song being sung on X Factor very soon & knew

sophie

would sing it incredibly, and more to Charlene-version, thats why i could see it getting more of a boost then the original, and its #5 which helps. It could be the stand out performance if she does sing it.

Well she'll be performing for the week her album is released (providing the rumour is true!), so hopefully it means that she'll get one entry inside the top 3 on iTunes and the album version inside the top 40, thus giving us a surprise number 1 contender. But yeah, I'm with you it'll "only" go top 3 and peak at 3 if she does perform on the X.

Considering the act who is rumoured to be performing the song, I think it'll be Charlene's version that'll benefit more.
