I don't know who he is. But he could just sing the (censored) chorus 3 times through.

Basically, he's a fat guy who has lost weight for the show and always sings songs by females (he's sang Adele, Beyonce and Christina Perri already)

that's quite a good point, I also think Cher will do much better with her latest single as she actually sings more on the record and it is much more pleasurable to listen to than Swagger Jagger. She actually came 2nd in Week 4 when she sang a song (Stay) and was less than 1% behind Matt.

If she performs on TXF she could quite easily have a big #1 with this single

Something XF just didn't get about Cher was that she does have a decent singing voice. We only got to see her use 2 or 3 times because they thought her rapping was her selling point. I suppose it was, but she was much better than most of her performances and Swagger Jagger.

On the song choices, I think Marcus's is awful. Sami's is so cliched that you can tell Louis picked it. I'm not sure she'll got down so well this week. She'll do it amazingly but I don't want that track performed on a talent show EVER again.

Ah right. Okay... Probably the Beyonce one then. o:lol:

Yay for the randomness of someone performing a

Bjork

song! I hope it gets a good boost.

It's not actually her song though...

Someone covering that Beyonce song just days after The Horrors quite magnificent version in the Live Lounge? I know which one will be better, the one which isn't a glorified karaoke version! :drama:

:o I didn't even know that! Suffice to say the original version by

Betty Button

won't benefit at all from the performance though

Just because someone is singing it on x factor doesn't mean it won't be as good or better. That's very narrow minded

For me, no cover version that stays true to the original is a good cover version. Whoever is singing it may sing it well, but that doesn't make it a good version. Most X-Factor performances are just karaoke, one person singing a song in a style completely familiar to the original. For me, that's not a good cover version regardless of how well it may be sung.

I strongly agree with this.

Craig was the same person who sang Jar Of Hearts last week, and did infact change it alot and make it his own.

So my original comment stands, very presumptious

Ah, Yeo Valley ad has been used (albeit in a shorter form). Expect 'Forever' back in the top 50 or so later then.

Maybe so, but I don't really care. What I said about X-Factor is true, on occasions I've watched there's never enough of an original take on the vast majority of songs. Presumptuous I may be, but that's only because I've watched the programme before and it never fails to bore me to death, watching the OTT praise of people singing some songs which will be sung no worse hundreds of times in pubs up and down the country every weekend by a load of pissed up people.

With the 59p reduction still intact - Beyonce's 'Best Thing I Never Had' will no doubt surge back up the chart. It's set to re-enter the T30 tomorrow, but if 'Jar of Hearts' could return to the T5 after a Craig performance - then 'Best Thing I Never Had' could do something very similar - even more likely considering it's cheaper to purchase.

Would also like to see 'Russian Roulette' back in the T40 - may consider purchasing it if Marcus performs it decent enough.

This. Same with some of the Glee Cast covers aswell. I don't really see the point in them when they're exactly the same as the original, just with different singers, who's vocals sound almost the same as the original artist's anyway.

Although Cher last year did a couple of mash-ups or arrangements of songs, which was good.

One Direction out on the same week as The Collective? They'd better not get to #1  'Teardrop' is actually quite good and I've come around to the idea of it being my birthday #1.

if the collective is the CIN song it will be f***ed up by promo on the friday of CIN as the sales increase will be divided into 2 weeks!!
