October 11, 201113 yr Whilst 'Billie Jean' has already been mentioned, I think 'Beat It' and 'Thriller' are probably more universally liked despite not being as massive a worldwide hit as 'Billie Jean' was.
October 11, 201113 yr You can pick any single from Thriller... Also DSTYGE and Smooth Criminal.. The latter actually the most. And funny that nobody has mentioned Like a Prayer Compared to these classics nobody even knows Chasing Cars for example. Edited October 11, 201113 yr by SKOB
October 11, 201113 yr A couple of suggestions; Take That - Rule The World Robyn - With Every Heartbeat Maybe not universally liked but I'd be intrigued to know if anybody passionately hated these two.
October 11, 201113 yr Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers Alot of people seemed to really like this and not too many really hated it.
October 11, 201113 yr A couple of suggestions; Take That - Rule The World Robyn - With Every Heartbeat Maybe not universally liked but I'd be intrigued to know if anybody passionately hated these two. I was going to mention With Every Heartbeat actually. Everybody on the planet seems to love it. :D Rule the World is a bit 'meh' to me. I did actually like it when it came out, now not so much, although it's still much much better than the likes of Patience or The Flood.
October 11, 201113 yr With Every Heartbeat is massively overrated - I don't dislike it but it's no better than average, Robyn has far better songs. Rule The World I can't argue with but I'm sure its overplay has ruined it for a good few people. 'Patience' is my favourite song of theirs since the comeback (and indeed overall as 'Back For Good' is their only pre-breakup song that I like as far as I can remember and it's not as good as Patience ) Edited October 11, 201113 yr by Bré

I'm not a Jackson fan but Thriller is still a great song of its type. I've never liked the other two though.
October 11, 201113 yr It's recent (and I've obsessed over it loads) but Titanium. Even people who normally don't like Guetta's style have said it's rather brilliant, and I haven't seen anyone say they don't like it, not that I remember.
October 11, 201113 yr Love The Way You Lie?? Most people LOVE that song. Of course, there are people who hate it, but it's extremely popular. Also, I wouldn't be able to understand if anybody said they hated Goo Goo Doll's Iris. Edited October 11, 201113 yr by Mega DC

October 11, 201113 yr The point about that song is that a lot of people - like me - who normally hate Eminem like LTWYL. Do you like 'Stan' as well? I'd say that's more of a 'universally liked' song than Love The Way You Lie.

It's a very nice song, but...
October 11, 201113 yr Rule The World is just horrible :puke: So there's your passionate hater for you! :P I think Thriller is probably the most 'universally liked' song. Never heard anyone say a bad word about it.
October 11, 201113 yr Thriller is more widely known and praised for its video than the song itself, no? Personally I think it's one of the weakest songs on 'Thriller' (although it was only released as, what, the 8th single? So that's hardly surprising ) but there's no denying it has one of the best videos ever made. Edited October 11, 201113 yr by Bré

October 11, 201113 yr Do you like 'Stan' as well? I'd say that's more of a 'universally liked' song than Love The Way You Lie. Stan is liked quite a lot, but probably less so by Eminem haters than LTWYL. Probably because on one, you have Dido, and in the other, you have Rihanna. Also, I think Eminem's become more universally likeable in his rapping as he's matured. (I love him though, that's just me trying to analyse it) Thriller is more widely known and praised for its video than the song itself, no? Personally I think it's one of the weakest songs on 'Thriller' (although it was only released as, what, the 8th single? So that's hardly surprising ) but there's no denying it has one of the best videos ever made. I think Thriller is the best out of the singles from the album (with Billie Jean just behind it). It's a great song, and one of MJs best.
October 11, 201113 yr Author "All The Lovers" bores me to tears, sorry Regina. Maybe "Dancing On My Own" may be more universally liked than "With Every Heartbeat" simply because it's not been so overexposed? I really didn't get the hype with "Titanium" when I heard it, at all. And "Stan" really doesn't deserve any criticism but we have Vidcapper, so it's buggered. As is "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang, unfortunately.
October 11, 201113 yr A couple of suggestions; Take That - Rule The World Robyn - With Every Heartbeat Maybe not universally liked but I'd be intrigued to know if anybody passionately hated these two. Simon Cowell doesn't like it. I remember when someone performed it on The X Factor and his main comment was how much he hates that song. What an idiot.
October 11, 201113 yr A lot of Coldplay material is universally liked - 'Viva La Vida' for example. Other suggestions; Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You' - it's pop, but a lot of rock/indie fans enjoyed that element of it - plus the swearing. Jessie J's 'Price Tag' - lyrically brilliant, artist breakthrough, radio-friendly, appearance of B.o.B appealing to different fanbase.
October 11, 201113 yr Simon Cowell doesn't like it. I remember when someone performed it on The X Factor and his main comment was how much he hates that song. What an idiot. Yeah, I remember that comment now you mention it (it was Rachel Hylton who sung it, btw). This is the man who said once on Pop Idol that Daniel Bedingfield's If You're Not The One is the greatest pop song of modern times though  Those songs he gives (gave) to the likes of Robson & Jerome, Susan Boyle and Westlife to cover on their albums pretty much encapsulate his music taste... awful, bland, sappy crap. Anyway, I echo With Every Heartbeat as Simon Cowell doesn't count as a valid music opinion. I would also add Natalie Imbruglia - Torn and The Human League - Don't You Want Me as songs which have reached a certain level of ubiquity but never seem to have become disliked with it.
