Posted October 14, 201113 yr The Top 100 Best Selling Songs at #1 Had (what I assume) is a good idea for a thread yesterday. I looked at all the sales figures for the number ones during 2000-2009 and added up the song which sold the most whilst at the #1 spot (for example for 'Sound of the Underground' I added sales for the 4 weeks it was at #1). Good idea? Who knows but I'll carry on with it if people would like it. There were 272 different number ones in the 2000's (including Westlife's "I Have a Dream" which was released in 1999 but spent the first two weeks of the decade at #1). I will countdown the Top 100 but at the end I'll put up the full list Let's start 100. Akon - Lonely Sales at #1: 147,467 Released: 2005 Weeks spent at No.1: 2 First week sales: 87,695 Second week sales: 59,772 6EEW-9NDM5k&ob=av2e Edited October 14, 201113 yr by jonny91

October 14, 201113 yr This is quite a good idea. We haven't seen a thread portraying this and it would be interesting to read.
October 14, 201113 yr I think you have to have made a certain amount of posts before you can embed YouTube videos. I don't know what the numebr is though so you might be alright. Good idea for a thread, I look forward to following it :D
October 14, 201113 yr Could someone tell me how to do the Youtube links please? Still new I'm not, and I still can't figure them out. ;) BTW, I think you mean 'bear', not 'bare', unless you want everyone to read your thread naked.
October 14, 201113 yr I'm not, and I still can't figure them out. ;) It's not that hard to understand... Edited October 14, 201113 yr by Bré
October 14, 201113 yr The bit you put inbetween the tags is the code in the URL for the video you want (the bit that comes after "v="). It is very simple, although it took me ages to figure it out for the first time too, to be fair.
October 14, 201113 yr Author Wahooo did the Youtube link! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: 99. Ronan Keating - If Tommorrow Never Comes Sales at #1: 147,610 Released: 2002 Weeks spent at #1: 1 B6lw1suaZpo

October 14, 201113 yr Excellent idea, I suspect Bleeding Love will be extremely high on this one, will it be #1 (excluding Pop Idol/XF winners/charity singles)? Only other one I can think of is FFTL but that only got one week @ #1 IIRC.
October 14, 201113 yr FFTL had 2 weeks at #1. And if you exclude XF winners you're excluding Bleeding Love anyway :P Edited October 14, 201113 yr by Bré
October 14, 201113 yr ^ Funny that X Factor and Charity singles are bad EXCEPT if the artist singing them is good it doesn't matter. Great thread Edited October 14, 201113 yr by SKOB
October 14, 201113 yr It will be interesting to see just how low down this list Umbrella will finish.
