Posted October 16, 201113 yr In March 2011, Dr. Luke’s representative confirmed that Luke was finishing up a new single with Perry, he stated: "They just put the finishing touches on Katy’s newest upcoming single, which they created together in February 2011. They had a great time, and the single is amazing. He wishes Katy nothing but continued success and looks forward to working with her again soon". Also in March 2011, when asked by More Magazine wether she would record a feline-inspired song, Perry replied: "I have a lot of those on the album already. I do have a song coming out in a few months that has a couple of cat references, but I think that's a little too saucy to talk about. I like to leave things a mystery". In October 2011, Tricky Stewart told MTV that he is back in the studio with Perry working on leftovers from their Teenage Dream sessions. He stated: "Katy and I went into the studio just to address some issues with the records that we had done in the past that didn't end up going on Teenage Dream, so we are in the process of just listening and freshening up things and getting ready for something special she has going on". Stewart also added: "We always knew that the records we created were special and at the time it was more contractual obligation that they did not make the album, I can only have so many songs produced by me on the album, and she honestly didn't need any more records, as you can tell by the success of this album, the songs have been flawless." Stewart said that one of the songs is titled 'Dressin' Up, he said: "This song is really special. It's called 'Dressin' Up', it's going to be a big record, I think, it definitely fits. It's right there in what her sensibilities are as a musician and a songwriter. She doesn't change much. She has a very keen musical taste. It'll be really good" eH24pkHPeCw I'd MUCH prefer a new album, rather than a re-release. Though I would be happy with an 8 track re-release (a la 'The Fame Monster'). Highly doubt we'll be getting this before Christmas now that she's releasing 'The One That Got Away'. Hopefully it'll be early 2012. 'Dressin' Up' sounds promising, but I'm more looking forward to this Katy/Rihanna collab they've both been hinting at.
October 17, 201113 yr I think this album has been milked sufficiently. Any new or leftover tracks can go towards the making of the next album surely? I dislike re-releases as it is.
October 17, 201113 yr Yeah, I think a re-release is pointless, surely they could've put a re-release out after like 4 singles, instead of 6 and then going to a re-release? Just do a new album..
October 17, 201113 yr Dressin' up doesnt sound like Katy Perry, unless its the poor quality. Certainly not up to the standard of songs on Teenage Dream. A re-release sounds good. Can't see us getting a new studio album just yet, particularly if they are working on leftover tracks.
October 20, 201113 yr Depends really. They'll probably want to get something out there whilst she's still touring on the 'Teenage Dream' tour. She has the fanbase that will buy the re-release so they may as well and get some more money out of it. Depends if the new material on the re-release is actually new stuff, or just the remixes of songs? Like 'Last Friday Night' and 'E.T.' with their collaborators. I dunno, but if they get it right then it will sell regardless.
October 22, 201113 yr I really don't think this needs a re-release, 6 singles is already enough. Plus its a brilliant album and doesn't need a rehash.
October 29, 201113 yr Author Katy Perry has again expressed her desire to collaborate with Rihanna. The ‘Teenage Dream’ star said she was hopeful that the duet would come off in the future, but only if the song was right. “I hope so, one of these days,” she told Capital FM’s Showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes when asked about her plans to work with Rihanna. “But the thing is we’re not just going to cash in on that idea unless it’s bulletproof, because you really only get one shot at that.” Katy added: “We’re friends above and beyond all the other stuff, so if we’re going to work together it has to be dynamite.” Meanwhile, Katy also said she was a big fan of Rihanna’s new video ‘We Found Love’. She said Rihanna had shown a “really honest side” with the video for the first single off her new album ‘Talk That Talk’.
October 29, 201113 yr Well I'd personally like a re-release! I've been holding out on buying Teenage Dream for ages because of the constant rumours.
November 3, 201113 yr I would assume if we were getting a re-release, they would release it in the run up to Christmas to maximise sales. I couldnt see one being released early next year during the flat period and by then, the promotion for her 6th single will be over.
January 22, 201213 yr It'll probably just be the original album with all the singles versions added on.
January 22, 201213 yr If she decides to do a re-release and get another #1 hit on Billboard 100..... -_-
January 22, 201213 yr From what I've read, it sounds like the original album with the single remixes tagged on, as John said, so it's more of a 'collection' thing really. And besides, even if she did re-release with a new song (which would surely easily hit number 1), I wouldn't count it in the record as it's technically not the exact same album.
January 23, 201213 yr Interesting - regarding the link. The complete confection. Hmm...I wonder if that will include all the singles so far and some extra material? Its a little too early for a greatest hits set though.
January 25, 201213 yr I have read on a few sites that she will be re- releasing the album with 2 new songs Dressin Up and Part of me
January 25, 201213 yr Well Dressin Up was mastered anyway and it's rumoured that Part of Me was too but I don't think there's any confirmation. They're the only tracks we know of (I think) but I'm sure a re-release with new songs wouldn't just chuck on two. I do have to wonder if The Complete Confection will be a proper re-release or just a... well collection of the era. You'd think we'd have gotten a single by now if it were "proper". It's been taken off Amazon though so that either means it's not happening or they're waiting to make an official statement.
January 27, 201213 yr I hope we get more than two new tracks. Its just not worth buying again when you have already bought the album.
