October 25, 201114 yr So from the report we can see the top 5 of 1. Coldplay 2. Noel 3. Michael Buble 4. Kelly Clarkson 5. Bruno Mars The report mentions 6 is Tom Wait and Adele is 9 and the other new entries are also mentioned so I'm guessing 7, 8 and 10 are Matt Cardle, Ed Sheeran and Steps in any order to round out the top 10?
October 25, 201114 yr Were you expecting more than that? I didn't expect anything... I WANTED 300K this week and There not gonna get it... albums sales drops every year, that's a shame.
October 25, 201114 yr Michael Buble is a real housewives favourite so I can see him holding up later in the week. Think Kelly will hold Top5 too. Most of me is really glad about Ronan Parke's position but part of me feels a bit sorry for him as he's just another young and vunerable person Syco seem intent on ruining before he even gets going.
October 25, 201114 yr Michael Buble is a machine!!!! I wonder if it bodes well for Susan Boyle when her album is released.
October 25, 201114 yr Coldplay will be the first act to have their first 5 studio albums all debut at #1 right? I'm sure the record for that was a tie between Keane, Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay, all on 4, so a fifth one will put Coldplay ahead of the other two.

Didn't all 7 of their studio albums debut at #1? Or did Definitely Maybe climb to #1?
October 25, 201114 yr What about Oasis? Didn't all 7 of their studio albums debut at #1? Or did Definitely Maybe climb to #1? Oh yeah, you're right, I completely forgot about Oasis. Coldplay might move up to a distinct 2nd place in the list though  Unless they split up Coldplay should eventually beat Oasis. In about 9 years at the current pace they're releasing albums. October 25, 201114 yr Looks like MW are really holding back with full the album chart update..
October 25, 201114 yr Assuming Matt at around #7,what approximately would his sales be this week? Very roughly, Bruno Mars is heading for about 33.3k at #5 (he was #9 last week and we had the sales for #8 and #10, so I took the halfway point and multiplied it by 2.58) so Matt will be heading for around 30k this week - but this is EXTREMELY rough so don't read too much into that, it'll probably be completely different.
October 25, 201114 yr if matt did sell 30k this week its damage limitation i suppose. 100k in two weeks. his second single is gonna need to make it huge, although i think he is the sort of artist that colombia will give a second album to

That's correct - 7, 8 and 10 in the order you mentioned them. Matt currently on 7.5k so hopefully around 25k by the weekend to take his total to nearly 100k as Herbs says.
October 25, 201114 yr Adele looks like she is finally starting to drop off in the albums after dominating the top3 since its release.

October 25, 201114 yr Adele looks like she is finally starting to drop off in the albums after dominating the top3 since its release. She's not really 'dropping off', at least not any faster than she already was, there's just finally more than 1 or 2 big albums released this week. She's really been holding onto the top 4 'by default' for quite a few weeks now, just because it's holding up so much better than anything else - there haven't been many albums that have been ahead of 21 for more than 1 or 2 weeks. I don't think her sales will be that much lower this week than last although they may dip below 20k for the first time (but selling over 20k for 39 straight weeks, over 100k for 12 of those, is a pretty much unparalleled achievement anyway). I think she'll end the week at #8 (she should overtake Tom Waits). Sort of reminds me of Only By The Night, staying top 5 for an age then dropping out of the top 10 a few weeks later (although I think 21 will have more than 6 more top 10 weeks in re-entries after that, I think it'll resume being a constant in the top 10 at the start of next year). October 25, 201114 yr Woahh, if Coldplay are on 95k (good total, Oasis converted 90k to 200k by Sunday a few years ago but that was more frontloaded so this should clearly 250k) and aren't quite outselling Noel 4:1 then he's on 25k there or thereabouts... bloody good total, he'll be a bit frontloaded still with the Jonathan Ross show helping but even so I can't see it dipping below 70k... I wonder if it can beat Beady Eye's 66k first week total for a second week in succession  67k for Pro Green is INSANE. What were One Direction on at this stage? They were dramatically frontloaded as well, so if he's within 10k of them he may just clear 160k and become the fastest selling of the year so far. 53k is also brilliant for Labrinth, that would usually get you 130k-ish by Sunday? Oh and LOL at Machine Head outselling Ronan Parke.
October 25, 201114 yr Yeah, I was thinking Pro Green could actually be in with a chance of outselling One Direction, he's bound to be much less frontloaded I'd assume :o Annoying that it's another subpar song that will take the record though - I dislike Grenade and I HATE What Makes You Beautiful, Read All About It is better than both but still average. When We Collide is my favourite holder of the 2011 record thus far  Or What's My Name? if you count his third week as part of 2010.

Oh and LOL at Machine Head outselling Ronan Parke. I think One Direction were slightly more about 80k? Labrinth must be a little annoyed, he's almost certainly going to have a total that would be number 1 most weeks and he didn't have the X Factor to boost him. (Surprising given he's SYCO) When I first heard Read All About It, I thought it would be a big hit but not this huge, never thought that would get an X Factor slot.
