I wasn't paying much attention to the judges' comments at all last night but I heard it a LOT during that. She was, as was Amelia Lily (and Cher Lloyd, Lloyd Daniels, Diana Vickers and Eoghan Quigg at the time of their auditions).

Also so was Zoe Birkett from the first series of Pop Idol. And she had a much superior voice to Ella.

They do say she's 16 a lot to be fair :lol: Yes it's astonishing she has a voice like that at that age but it irritates me when anything is brought up so much, much the same as say Jade's daughter, Christopher's nan etc.

I'm not sure what's so spectacular about having a voice like Ella's at sixteen. She's obviously had singing lessons in school so in a way she's already had years of training. There were some spectacular singers who went to school with me. One of my mates could sing exactly like Bryn Terfel at 16.

 

The emphasis on her youth is to appeal to young people and older ones who think 'oh my goodness, she's young!'

Ah, so last night on FB when they were asking "How old is Ella Henderson? Does anyone have that information?", that was a joke too. :D I've not been paying attention.

Wow! That one has been the best in ages! I'm really loving the picture of Jahmene singing like a strangled cat. When he doesn't oversing he's very good but the big 20 notes in 1 really annoys me. Also Chris Maloney's head being a block of cheese and the upcoming plans for Kate Nash week and Adele week :lol:

Good Lord, the best thing about these was that they were vaguely INSPIRED. The last 10 or so have ZERO inspiration at all and are just picking up the most obvious/lazy things from the show and putting them in a pic.
