Posted October 30, 201113 yr So even though nobody we know is in it, bizzarely the band still exists, and they've just chucked in new people like a mega Sugababes or something... http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/7956/244a6xf.jpg Interesting to see Lauren Bennett of Paradiso Girls and Party Rock Anthem fame :o Not heard of the others though. It's pretty obvious this won't work but I'm interested to see how it turns out!
October 30, 201113 yr Why not just give them a new name? The PCD brand will never be taken seriously again anyway.
October 30, 201113 yr Yeah I agree, don't mind this group happening but just not with the Pussycat Dolls name.
October 30, 201113 yr Why not just give them a new name? The PCD brand will never be taken seriously again anyway. I didn't realize it was ever taken seriously
October 30, 201113 yr Interesting... As long as the girls get equal lines it's ok, I don't like the way a Nicole had everything in the previous PCD, power hungry bitch.
October 30, 201113 yr I can't see them being successful, I've only heard of Lauren before. Depending on the promo behind them, I suppose they might get 1 or 2 top 10s in the UK but definitely not as successful as the original.
October 30, 201113 yr Christ it's like 4.0 but without the complete destruction of the brands former credibility.
October 30, 201113 yr Lauren Bennett has had close ties to the old Pussycat Dolls, so it's not TOO surprising she's on it. They're on the same record label (Interscope), and when she was in Paradiso Girls, they shared some producers and songwriters.
October 30, 201113 yr It surely is worse than Sugababes 4.0 situation? At least members in Sugababes were replaced one-by-one, under "natural" circumstances and in the period of ten years. And here we have the completely new line up compared to the previous one.
February 1, 201213 yr Early in 2012, when the original Pussycat Dolls announced they would be disbanding, we have been waiting for the new line-up of future dolls. It’s been almost a year since Robin Antin confirmed that she would be holding auditions to find new girls in order to replace the departed members of the group. Now Antin has finally unveiled the final line-up of the brand-new PCD with their first official promo photo as a group. The shot comes from their Go Daddy advertisement that will premiere during the 2012 Super Bowl. The new PCD is: Chrystina Sayers (Girlicious), Paula Van Oppen (So You Think You Can Dance), Lauren Bennet (Paradiso Girls and was the female singer Party Rock Anthem),Vanessa Curry (Ex Laker Girl), and Erica Jenkins (Dallas Cowboys cheerleader). A new album is expected to be released later this year. http://www.therisinghollywood.com/2012/01/...ne-up-revealed/ them in superbowl commerical http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vWFAtyeGwA...player_embedded sort or looking forward to this they look good together i sort of wish there were 6 people in the group instead of 5 caus ei always prefered PCD as a 6 piece and i was a big fan of Girlicious so glad Chrystina is in the group she has a good voice i hope there material is good and all of them more or less sing apparentely i heard they can all sing which is good ! :) Edited February 1, 201213 yr by troylovesmusic
February 1, 201213 yr Wow!!! I wouldn't care in any normal circumstances but I was championing Chrystina Sayers all through "Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious" and was sad to see Girlicious die at birth. I really hope she finds success as a new pussycat doll.
February 2, 201213 yr Tbh they're worse than the Sugababes... Chrystina Sayers just look fame hungry or something. Left Girlicious only to join the Pussycat Dolls with probably the only intention of getting bigger in the industry. Shame for Nichole who's the last member of Girlicious.. June 17, 201312 yr So the new line-up of the Pussycat Dolls have now been renamed as G.R.L. The line-up has also changed from what was first announced at the beginning of this topic and is now: Lauren Bennett Natasha Slayton Paula Van Oppen Simone Battle Emmalynn EstradaAnd according to Idolator, Robin Antin says they are working with Dr. Luke on their album and "they can all sing and dance".
June 17, 201312 yr Author Simone Battle to bring a 'He Likes Boys' cover *.* In seriousness, I won't get too excited, nothing came of the last 768 line-ups that were announced
