Soulful, R&B-influenced pop vocalist Pixie Lott was born Victoria Louise Lott on January 12, 1991, in Kent, England. Nicknamed Pixie by her mother, Lott first began singing in church. Later, she attended an arts school and appeared in several West End musical productions. A demo she recorded eventually caught the ear of producer L.A. Reid, who signed her to Island Def Jam Records when she was 15 years old. However, songs posted to her MySpace page began drawing more industry attention, and a bidding war ensued. Lott ultimately signed to Mercury in the U.K. and Interscope in the United States. Lott's debut album, TURN IT UP, was scheduled for release in 2009. - HMV

Another disappointing chart run from Derulo - and completely unjust. 'It Girl' is one of his better singles, I'm just glad it earned him a fifth top 5 single - a discography containing 01-02-03-04 is quite entertaining - although another 01 single and a 12-64 ruin it a bit.

Yeah. He has some poor chart runs tbh.

Although his Ridin' Solo chart run absolutely OWNED everything. :D

I liked that remix of Set fire to the rain but this remix of All about tonight is pure s**t :puke2:
I agree. I heard the Moto Blanco remix on the radio a couple of times, and I found it really boring. Didn't even listen until the end. The Thomas Gold remix is a total anthem though! There's also a hip hop remix of it that I love by Gilbere Forte.

I used to only hear the Moto Blanco mix on the radio. Then I started hearing the Thomas Gold version. I'd hear the first half, get bored and switch over. Now I hear it all the time, and it's just incredible. I really need to get my hands on it.

Good to hear another remix now. They need to play more, the chart seems to be lacking dance music lately.

Haven't heard anyone use "owned" in years.

Jason DeRulo really has gotten lazy. I wouldn't exactly call him a musical pioneer before, though.

Small drop for AAT this week. I've noticed it reclimbing a bit on iTunes as well - I wonder why?

Speaking of remixes, I'd love another Scott Mills: Big Ones album. Bit random, but the recent discussion of remixes made me want to bring it up

Princess Of China :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I thought this would be a bit higher but it's fantastic to see it in the top 40. Will be great to finally hear Paradise on the chart show later as well. :D

Yeah. The Thomas Gold version starts of like the original except with no drums at the beginning. I could understand people getting bored before it got to the good bit in that.

Are you joking about the last bit though?

I wasn't originally sure if this Coldplay song would go top 40 (until it was released and went high on iTunes of course).

YES! I adore this song - it better be single #3 from Mylo Xyloto (or Charlie Brown)
That's two Rihanna related songs already.
My 15th birthday number one was Leona Lewis as well, but it was "A Moment Like This" instead. ;)

Snap! I turned 15 on December 25th 2006!

YES! I adore this song - it better be single #3 from Mylo Xyloto (or Charlie Brown)

It is confirmed as the third single (was never really going to be anything else  Charlie Brown will presumably be the fourth single if they do one, I'd guess).

Goodo. ^_^

This Coldplay song will probably drop out the chart this week and re-enter in a month or two I think.

It's still top 30 on iTunes so I think it could hang on for one more week.
