Star Girl, Obviously and All About You are by far their only decent #1s.
October 30, 201114 yr Most of McFly's output was pretty inoffensive but not fantastic. But they do have some pretty great songs (Shine A Light is FANTASTIC, it's a shame their career seems to be pretty much over now just as they were getting good). Star Girl is among their better songs. Labrinth obviously has no hope of being #1 but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll have sales that would have been good enough for #1 on all but 4 other weeks so far this year (first weeks of Grenade, On The Floor, Louder and What Makes You Beautiful). That'd also put its first week sales higher than 'Written In The Stars'. It should definitely have passed 100k anyway. There may be a small chance of the top 3 all being over 100k today? And hopefully Read All About It will beat the first week sales of What Makes You Beautiful. It's not a great song but it's a lot better than WMYB. And I really hope 'The A Team' has managed to cling onto a top 20 spot! It'd be weird if he ends up at #21 with Bruno Mars' Runaway Baby at #20 since Bruno Mars was the last artist to get within a week of spending his first 20 weeks in the top 20. On the albums front I'm hoping Coldplay can at least have the second highest first-week sales of the year even if they can't beat Lady Gaga. Also hopefully '21' will be no lower than #8 :D And finally Set Fire To The Rain will hopefully have held a top 40 spot after its late burst of sales. Used the words 'hope' and 'hopefully' too many times in this post :drama: Hello everyone :P
