PRAYING that the video gets released tomorrow, as rumoured. That'll give it the extra boost it needs to crack the top 10.

Olly is continuing to pull away from Rihanna! She's had her X Factor boost and it wasn't enough? She should at least be gaining on him but she's drifted. Olly has eps as well.

I can't see why people want her to have another week at #1, I mean what does that prove/achieve? Even if you're not a fan, at least with Olly he's a British artist who'd break the monotony of an American artist dominating the chart. It makes our chart look weak. Plus I bet Olly had more input in his song which he has co-written a top songwriter (Claude Kelly). I mean if she gets another week it'll be boring as hell and it'll be down to X Factor exposure that Olly should have actually had.

 

Olly has XF exposure every week. You cant turn the tv on without seeing the video. The song is truly awful and at best bland so I dont care who wrote it tbh. I hope Rihanna can get there. Olly being a british artist has no relevance to me as the thought of people from abroad looking at the chart thinking this is the best we can do is somewhat scary.

Really hope Olly goes number 1, shame he didnt perform this week as it would gained him some sales, still though he should do well on debut week and the x factor performance next week wiill helkp the album and steady the single on week 2. I wasnt a fan of Olly on x factor and i have to admit he has surprised me with his material.

 

Dont like Rebecca Ferguson, found her boring on x factor and her performance tonight was exactly what i expected from her,. i do see why some people may like her but she bores the hell out of me.

Anyone who watched xtra factor should not be surprised olly is number 1 still and pulling away, it was one long plug for his single. it actually got annoying in the end.

Its funny I think Olly's fans are the only ones glad he got the XF Job. Lots of people have stopped watching. Its great promo for him as if you have a big audience a certain percentage are gonna go for it but the actual audience is the lowest its ever been. He certainly is marmite.

I don't mind him but the judges congratulated him on being number 1 on itunes, then a girl held up a sign via webcam saying download his single, then it was on in the background and we were told it was out again, then in tulisa's dressing room louis congratulated him on being #1 on itunes again, then we had jedward holding up download his singles signs. I gave up watching then as it was getting stupid.

Oh my goodness how embarassing. I will never understand his success tbh. Its still very early days tho. Less than a year since his first album and the amount of exposure he gets is crazy. The powers that be are obviously doing all in their power to keep his success going, including giving him that job. Only time will tell if it works.

Truly awful? Well you're entitled to your opinion. Rihanna's song is a generic example of current pop, The Wanted, JLS etc all release the same kind of stuff; trancey singles that make a splash in the charts but don't sell albums. His song isn't even in the top 20 tv play chart but yes Xtra Factor is helping his exposure, no doubt about it.

Yeah it was gratuitous advertisement! :D Tbf though alot of people only watch it for him. If you don't like him you wouldn't watch the show as he's the main personality on it. Presenting Xtra factor is the best career move he could have made! Who knew?

OMG are you for real? :lol: Ratings are up and the quality of the show is the best it's ever been. The tv critics rate him, I mean it just sounds like you're biased against him. You don't like him ok but what you're saying about his affect on Xtra Factor is flat out wrong!

 

argh, I really hope rebecca ceases to climb from the point she's at now. the song is so, so, so naff... it's like someone put corrine bailey rae in a blender and added a litre of water. as for her voice, no thanks.

X Factor's viewing figures are down and you would think that wiould impact on the spin off show but everything I've seen in the media has suggested the ratings are up. Most of the comments I see on twitter are people praising the show, the overall opinion of the show is definately positive. Every week topics from the show trend worldwide, it's definatey popular. The stuff you say about viewing figures is interesting but I can't find anything to back it up. Whereas I've seen quite a few references to ratings for the show being up. I think the opinion of Olly in general is of a marmite character but in the X factor world he's loved, people who would watch the Xtra Factor (hardcore X Factor fans) like him. That's why they got him to do the job!
