XF Song list this week (two songs each):

Amelia Lily - 'China In Your Hand' (T'Pau) and 'Since U Been Gone' (Kelly Clarkson)

Janet Devlin - 'Mmmbop' (Hanson) and 'Under The Bridge' (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

Misha B - 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' (Cyndi Lauper) and 'Killing Me Softly' (Fugees)

Little Mix - 'Baby' (Justin Bieber) and 'Beautiful' (Christina Aguilera)

Marcus - 'I'm Your Man' (Wham!) and 'Lately' (Stevie Wonder)

The first song is the "Guilty Pleasure" and the second is the contestant's "Heroes" song.

I think

'Lately'

and

'Killing Me Softly'

will benefit most from the performances.

I'd say

Killing Me Softly

,

Under The Bridge

,

Since U Been Gone

and

Beautiful

will get the biggest boosts and the others won't get much of a boost at all.

Since U Been Gone

for Don't Let Go style boost pretty please

LMFAO back in the top 10 - didn't expect to see that one happening. I'm amazed that this song has done so well, after 'Champagne Showers' peaked at #32 and dropped shortly after, I thought that was it for them this era - just goes to show that sometimes artists release songs that are merely filling-the-gap between big hits (not that they know this at the time).

I think the top 3 will be Rihanna / Calvin Harris - Olly Murs - Flo Rida on the singles chart and Rihanna - Michael Buble - One Direction on the albums chart.

As usual, I think with

Since U Been Gone

, it'll suffer from being too recent and too well-known. It was MASSIVE just a couple of years ago, whilst it seems to be the actual current songs or like the older songs which everybody kind of knows which get the biggest boosts.

I'd love it to fly up the chart though. It's a great song.

62. All I Want for Christmas Is You (Original Version) - Mariah Carey

65. Fairytale of New York - The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl

89. Fairytale of New York - Kirsty MacColl & The Pogues

I can see both these being back in the official top 40 a week tomorrow. :)

Happy days! :w00t: Hope Reggie doesn't ruin it by ridiculing them though, he usually makes a smart comment!

X Factor songs before the show (To see what boost they get...)

369. Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers

500. Baby (feat. Ludacris) - Justin Bieber

778. Baby - Justin Bieber & Ludacris

Was just bwatching '20 years of Christmas no1s' on VH1 and they SKIPPED Rage against the Machine's 2009 no1 and went straight from Alex Burke to Matt Cardle!!

DISGRACEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were on X Factor this week, for guilty pleasures I'd probably do With Every Heartbeat by Robyn, and for my Hero's song, I'd probably do 21 Questions by 50 Cent.

Interesting choices. Albeit the wrong way around. :D

lol. Oh dear. Does it have a music video though?

Expect T'Pau - China In Your Hand to get high up the chart soon, it was performed on TXF and people like me are discovering the original for the first time

It does indeed, they showed it on 4Music when it became the Christmas no.1, although they faded the ending out (for obvious reasons)

Absolutely love this song, although there's absolutely nothing guilty about it.

I didn't actually know what China In Your Hand was when I saw the song choices, but having heard Amelia's performance I do now recognise it. I agree, that should get a pretty big boost. A bit like 'Stay'.

Maybe that channel just doesn't like to play rock music then or something. I don't know.

Maroon 5 are back up to #11. I bet they'll end up going top 10 again and staying there officially next week. >.<
