December 25, 201113 yr Just looking back through a few of the ones I missed and Pixie was actually really good considering what she's usually like live. Pretty decent TBH.
December 25, 201113 yr It dosen't and this is coming from an Adele loon :puke: I'd love it to go top 10
December 25, 201113 yr I turned it over once i had an eyeful of Pixie, i was watching the snowman at the same time on ch4 lol - Pixie is a terrible singer but is gorgeous!!
December 25, 201113 yr Great to see Noah and the Whale on TOTPs Agreed - though apparently 'down' is now considered a swearword.

December 26, 201113 yr To be fair, I don't think you'll miss much! Where the hell is Jessie J? One Direction? They should show Adele from Jools Holland at least!!!!! Missed the first 15 minutes and the rest kind of past me by as I was zonked out after dinner. Oh well!
December 26, 201113 yr She needs to learn that sometimes you can just sing a song normally and not add 1 million new notes to a song to make it good.
December 26, 201113 yr Great performance! He has the exact same jumper i got from my sister for xmas there! Where is it from?! I need it in my life! I tweeted Ed himself to find out, but I think that's a bit of a long shot. I just watched the show on iPlayer. My favourite performances were from Adele (obviously), Little Mix, Will Young, Example and Noah and the Whale (if I didn't know this was an all-British lineup, I'd have thought they were from the US - their styling/vocals are very American). The Wanted were awful; especially Nathan - I never knew their live vocals were so poor! :o Pixie Lott was also pretty poor, her voice is weak, on the chorus especially Overall, it was a very good show, despite the lack of the BIG artists, but even then, I think they'd only have got Lady GaGa and Rihanna if they included US acts too...
December 26, 201113 yr Think mine was from Next, not exactly the same but same basic pattern, i really like it, nice and christmassy. Did anyone else not think Reggie seemed pretty down or something?
December 26, 201113 yr Watched it on Iplayer, pretty decent show tbf apart form The Vaccines although it is good to see indie represented. Surprised to see Stickle Bricks having their own performance as well as being on HSAB, someone else coulda had exposure. Adele's RAH performance was a good decision, SFTTR was a high point of her set. Reggie and Fearne are such a lacklustre duo, if they brought TOTP back again they'd need better than them. Olly Murs and Caroline Flack for example, a bit more fun.
December 26, 201113 yr Caroline Flack  You didnt like the vaccines performance...it was the one that got the crowd going mad lol!!

December 26, 201113 yr This years show wasn't too bad actually but I do the miss the 1997-2002 period when they actually did the year end & Christmas countdowns. I guess it must be hard to get foreign acts to do a one off nowadays (unless they are over here already). I guess years ago when it was a weekly show, the majority of foreign acts knew they would do promo when the song came out in the UK, and almost certainly would booked for a slot on TOTPs. You only have to watch some years like in 1999 where there were loads of foreign acts and they played virtually the whole top 10 of that year (and even if they couldnt be there, they'd do a satellite link via America to ensure the songs got played). I do miss those days (I'll probably be alone in thinking that though).
December 26, 201113 yr Yeah the years review was poor and they should have done the christmas top 10 but i suppose with no weekly show theres no point now!
December 26, 201113 yr Think mine was from Next, not exactly the same but same basic pattern, i really like it, nice and christmassy. Oh right, thanks! I can't find one that looks like it on the website unfortunately :( Ed`s jumper is by Common Sons Knitwear (£85) http://www.elementsclothing.co.uk/brands/129/common-sons Again, thanks - but at that price, I think I'll give it a miss :P
December 27, 201113 yr Re: Noah & the Whale L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. lyrics... It is an inappropriate word in context. IMO, unlike actual swear words, that's for the audience to decide, not the BBC. Besides, in this case the censorship is likely to make the unwary think that something worse was cut out, than was actually the case... Edited December 27, 201113 yr by vidcapper
