December 10, 201113 yr Think I'll hold off voting until the winner is announced. I think it could vary quite significantly depending on who the winner is.
December 10, 201113 yr I don't think there will be a massive difference whoever wins though surely Marcus has the least chance of sustaining a recording career. In a way, despite the fact he is the most average of the three, it would be funny if he wins because he will be written off by this time next year and Amelia and LM will have had big hits.
December 10, 201113 yr ...even Matt, with his runaway success last year, can't appeal to huge numbers vs Rebecca (can't hit a note out of her limited range) and the talentless, pointless and humourless OD.
December 10, 201113 yr Author Even though we don't know who it'll be yet, I thought I start the poll anyway Before anyone mentions it, it know I messed up the '<' on the 400-500k category, but it won't let me change it. :(
December 10, 201113 yr Has a song been confirmed yet? Its a cover version of Damien Rice's track "Cannonball", its set in concrete now.
December 10, 201113 yr Has a song been confirmed yet? Allegedly one penned by Gary Barlow, another kiss of death for Marcus. Though I did read somewhere it will be a cover of something decent. edit - oh Cannonball, nice song. Edited December 10, 201113 yr by aeroco
December 10, 201113 yr OK, Matt Cardle's first week figure is 439.007, so I will have to settle for 350k to 400k, I'd rather wait to see who wins first before ticking away, I would rather hear it first as the acts are going to give a different spin on the track.

December 10, 201113 yr Its a cover version of Damien Rice's track "Cannonball", its set in concrete now. Thanks and yes I remember posting about it now when it was a rumour, I don't like this and so I'll go with 200k-300k.

December 10, 201113 yr Marcus has the most chance of sustaining a career, as long as he doesn't win. .. as an advert for unnecessary botox.
December 10, 201113 yr I've gone for 300-400k as they are all distinctly average but who knows with all the hype of the final. Would be surprised if it sold as well as Matt or Joe let alone Alexandra. I still think her track was the best winners single there's been.
December 10, 201113 yr 300-400k, don't think any of the winners have been in that range yet - Joe probably would have been were it not for "Killing In The Name", and I can see this year's winner doing similarly.
December 10, 201113 yr Author It might be the case that some XF fans will wait until next week to buy it, to try & ensure it'll be Xmas #1, as well as next Sunday's. OTOH, without the snow of last year, fewer physical sales are likely to be shifted onto week 2... Edited December 10, 201113 yr by vidcapper

December 10, 201113 yr I think it'll vary depending on how good the song itself is, and who wins. But I predict slightly under 400,000. With it maybe halving week-on-week after that.
