38. Driving Home For Christmas - Stacey Solomon :w00t: - DELIGHTED to see her finally releasing some music, and it's Top 40
When you combine Alex Day's other versions surely he has a slim chance of the #1 :heehee:

Would be amusing to see it push Little Mix down to number 3. At least it's not a "tossy chart campaign" as James Masterton would say.

With these two songs doing well it's just showing up the Nirvana campaign to be an utter waste of time.

Just watched the Alex Young video - LOVE IT! *buys*

Is "ASAP" not doing anything yet? Radio 1 B-List of death strikes again.

I think the problem is that iTunes just has it as Get Back. Would love it if it was a Beatles cover

Alex Day for #1 if he can somehow stop the Military Wives :kink:

Both songs are going to have appalling chart runs.

Or perhpas their fans realised Cowell was going to be screwed by the Military Wives (so to speak :P ), so decided not to bother.

This Alex Day song is #6 now, combined it must have a good chance of being top 5 he has got almost 200m views on his youtube videos and over 1m subscribers so they must be buying it

I agree. As I said in the other thread, each subsequent campaign just dilutes the memory of the original Rage one which was executed so perfectly. X Factor are starting to lose their grip, the public HAVE now finally taken back the control but after half a decade of Cowell domination we hardly want our charts now controlled by endless useless Facebook campaigns instead. Once was enough, it worked, it was great and I really don't see what's still left to achieve apart from further putting the boot into Simon Cowell. What's the point, everyone got over Rhythmix-gate long ago, I honestly think that this campaign was no more than 'lets see if we can do it again and at the same time get this classic Nirvana song a higher peak'. There's no political message, or power in this campaign and thus little reason for the outsider to get involved, as many did with the Rage campaign.

Alex Day looks incredibly likely to get the xmas #2, how unexpected :o A strange time indeed when X Factor aren't even a contender anymore...

This Alex Day person is apparently unsigned. Does anyone know what the biggest hit by an unsigned artist is?

I know this hang on....

"checks chart database"

I can't remember the group or the title now, it was a couple of years back. ugh

Wasn't it Koopa's first single?

That's it Koopa :cheer:

Blag, Steal Or Borrow (31)

You can get odds of 66/1 for Alex Day to be Xmas #1 on William Hill, shame each way isn't available as even if he managed to top the iTunes chart Military Wives' CD sales will be enough to seal the deal comfortably for them. Looking likely for top three though isn't he!

Well, Wikipedia says Koopa were the FIRST band to get into the charts unsigned (I guess it must have been impossible to do so beforehand? I don't know, just seems odd that it only first happened recently).

Do the Must Be The Music hits count as unsigned?

Little Mix aren't falling anymore. Coldplay sell as much as 80.6% they are for now.

I think Little Mix are dead cert for #2 this week, with Alex Day at #3 (WOW) and Coldplay at #4. That said, Alex Day could fall massively since tomorrow.

And I don't get how Military Wives can be in red already? Surely they can only gain sales, as there's nothing to discount?
