Domino is a nice track but it sounds like a Katy Perry left-over, which it probably is as it is produced by Dr Luke, who also produced Last Friday Night. DILAD, WYA and maybe NP>>>>>.

Anyone know where Nicki Minaj's Roman In Moscow is? Surprised that Capital has added it to their playlist and seem to be spinning it quite a lot considering it's not even her first single and is only a buzz track.

I reckon the female Brit Award will be between Jessie J and Adele next year, I rather opt for Jessie personally, Adele will most likely walk with the best single and album. :D

The BRITs would get a TON of backlash for naming anybody but Adele as best female, she's been the world's biggest star this year by a mile and that award is a foregone conclusion already in my opinion.

Roman in Moscow is at #293. Capital seem to absolutely love Nicki. I think every single from her album they played to death, even Moment 4 Life (which isn't very commercial), and Girls Fall Like Dominoes (which didn't get a music video). I've never heard Turn Me On on there though, interestingly.

Domino has almost an identical instrumental to Last Friday Night:

Is the Royal Variety Performance per-recorded? Just tuned in and saw Nicole scherijvkrev performing and wonder how she's not in the US for X Factor.

It was Moment for Life which actually got me interested in Minaj, it took radio 1 a while to get into her!

Yeah its pre-recorded.

Leona Lewis (Hurt), Cee-Lo Green (Anyway), Pixie Lott (All About Tonight) & Nicole (Try With Me) have all performed so far.

Moment 4 Life got Nicki a lot of fans I think. For starters, it caused her album to climb to #1 in the US! :o People say it was a bad single, but if it sells the album that much, it was clearly a fantastic single choice.

To be fair, Capital weren't with her from the very start either. The first time I heard them play her (apart from Bedrock) was Check It Out, and I think they were playing that more because of will.i.am and Cheryl, than Nicki herself tbh.

Radio 1 was into her before Capital. Iirc, R1 playlisted Your Love and Right Thru Me.

Moment 4 Life was great, the annoying video prologue wasn't

I love the video prologue! :o Nicki is such a good actress. It had me thinking they'd release Roman's Revenge as a single though.

What was annoying about the song for me was that 2-minute long radio edit they used to play in the chart show. :drama:

Yeah the first single last november was blisted(rtm) as was M4L and then Super Bass was when she lifted it a level.

Same with me. I heard it in a club over the weekend, and have just finished listening to it again after so long and it still sounds incredible. Also heard Superbass at the club, but that's a standard one to hear now.

Moment for Life deserves much better than top 20, but it was a good chart run!

Moment 4 Life deserved to be bigger than Super Bass imo. Super Bass is okay, but it's kinda generic. Can't say the same for Moment 4 Life. So different to everything else in the charts.

The music video was so funny aswell, since Nicki and Drake were spreading rumours to the press and on Twitter that they were getting married. Nobody was sure what to believe until they confirmed they were only joking...then a few months later we get that music video.

Super Bass got #8 in the US year-end chart though! :o Had no idea it was that big.

Royal Variety Performance:

9. Hurt - Leona Lewis

71. Anyway - Cee Lo Green

86. All About Tonight - Pixie Lott

or maybe people just discovered that there's a better version of the track :heehee:

More than one

I think I do prefer the Johnny Cash version to the original though.

Oh Leona! :(

Hopefully she's secured a top 10 placing for this week. I'd hate for her to go from #3 in Tuesday's midweeks to #11 at the very most by the end of the week. She'll probably lose her top 10 placing some time tomorrow if she doesn't benefit from the RVP.
