But we can take it that Nirvana are still #6, or is that for yesterday?

The Military Wives single Wherever You Are sold 319,464 units before today, according to the latest Official Chart Company midweek data - meaning around 80,000 sales were achieved yesterday.

I'm guessing... 120k, 120k, 80k... then say 60k, 50k, 50k, 70k - total 550k-ish, on the upper limit of my prediction. Next week no more than 200k, though.

Yeah as the sales summary implied Nirvana are at #6 plus the title of the sales article had the Donkey track gaining speed, they have taken the article down now.

I'm assuming the singles top 6 for today are looking like this

1 Military Wives

2 Little Mix

3 Lou Monte/Alex Day

4 Alex Day/Lou Monte

5 Coldplay

6 Nirvana

I'll be more inclined to say 50k for Saturday been Christmas Eve, but than again depends what time supermarkets will close.

I'm surprised no Joe-fans have asked yet: but where was Joe McElderry's just-released single 'Last Christmas'? I believe it's out on the same label as MWives - seems odd timing. Thanks

I agree. They should release Last Christmas in March.

charity singles are MUCH worse than any X-Factor winner single

Harsh.

I agree. They should release Last Christmas in March.

That's a good idea actually, he could hit the "Mothers day and people who find it hard to get over Christmas" market

The midweek chart update on radio 1 today should be good with it being like a proper chart show with guests and an hour long edition!

Well, The Goons did have a top 5 hit in the summer of 1956 with "Walking Backwards For Christmas"

15 minutes in and only one song from this week's chart so far. Just like the main chart show

Was that the guy from the RAGE campaign in 2009 speaking about Nirvana?

I'm lazy, can't be bothered to summarise anyhow you have the full top 40 to view since I'm in the Christmas spirit of things, saves asking for requests :D :P

Dominick The Donkey was at #132 last week :o

Military Wives at #144 last week :o has to be leaked copies.
