I generally HATE the Scissor Sisters. I thought this would sound all Mika-ish like their previous stuff and so I've avoided listening to it but heard it on the radio today and I was like WTF is this. :drama:

Azealia Banks vocals really make the song but Scissor Sisters verses are suprisingly sublime! This is ORGASMiC. I've played it 12 times in the last hour! Can't get enough of it! If their whole album sounsd like this I'll buy it without thinking twice! Azealia really needs to be properly credited though, she needs to be HUGE this year!

I hope this does better than Fire To Fire. But I know that if it SOMEHOW manages a Top 10 position, it'll drop like a bomb anyway. :( I really need a HQ MP3 of this...
The strategy for the new album is starting to look loose and messy. It appears a new single will get released and then a major gap before the follow up single or album follows. In my opinion this will not do the album any favours. Nightwork did not sell aswell as previous albums or i doubt it lived up to expectations so in my opinion they need to get back in track with the fourth album or there will be minimum interest in them by the time album number 5 arrives.

I don't think they really care about mainstream success. They've never been your typical successful group, I really can't think of anything else so overtly gay that's been as successful as their debut album in the same decade*. Night Work pretty much showed that they wanted to go down their own route and didn't care any longer for writing obvious huge singles, it's still a decent album on the whole.

(*cue other people naming loads of acts!)

Confessions On A Dance Floor?

Fever?

Neon Nights? :D

Imo, the gayest album ever is Kylie's Light Years (2000). I think Scissor Sisters is close though.

Light Years is waaay camper than Fever!

Probably. Light Years is the wrong kind of gay-sounding though. It's the sound of a thousand mincing orange queens at an LGBT convention on board a cruise ship in the Med. Barf.

They're all just camp though, I meant gay as in having lots of references to gay culture in the album. Take Your Mama, Tits On The Radio, Filthy/Gorgeous, Return To Oz etc.

Definitely, for the reasons you've stated. However, it is an amazing album and pisses all over Fever.

You know Jake Shears just tweeted about that...
