Not bad at One Direction. #67 now without any airplay. When does that iCarly episode air?

Upsetting to see Chris Brown so high with such a bad song. It's actually a very good top 10 at the moment though! :o Even though Chris is about to come along and ruin it. :(

The three Adele entries and 'Paradise' alone make it a pretty brilliant top 10 for me :P But beyond those it's not great, 'I Will Always Love You' and 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)' are awful, 'What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)' is okay but I've gone off it a bit and I haven't heard 'Part Of Me', 'We Are Young' or 'Greatest Love Of All'. Well, I have heard a bit of 'We Are Young' actually. Sounded pretty good from the bit I've heard :P I also might have heard 'Greatest Love Of All' but the title and lyrics don't really ring a bell.

'Turn Up The Music' is pretty poor but would be a big improvement to the top 10 over 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)' :puke: 'Starships' is also heading for the top 10 so should knock out the other Whitney entry shortly as well. And there's also new Glee stuff today as well isn't there? Including a version of 'I Will Always Love You' which I'm sure will go top 10 (knocking out Coldplay in the process <_<)

Glee are covering:

Stereo Hearts (Gym Class Heroes)

I Will Always Love You (Whitney Houston)

L-O-V-E (Nat King Cole)

You're The Top (from the musical Anything Goes)

Cherish/Cherish (The Association/Madonna)

Let Me Love You (Mario)

Home (Michael Buble)

Love Shack (The B-52s)

And of those I'd hazard a guess at Stereo Hearts doing well as well as the obvious IWALY going top 10 and probably top 5.

IWALY will get some boost with Glee, along with the tragic accident of course. What can we expect the song to top the charts with? 500k digitally? More or less? What are the biggest openings in a week by the way for a digital song...?

Careful how you phrase that though. The demo of 'Part Of Me' leaked a year ago before anyone had even heard 'Domino' so technically it should be the other way around?

Oricon;

'Right Round' [Flo Rida] 636k

'Low' [Flo Rida] 467k

'Born This Way' sold 448k in three days and 509k in it's first full week.

'Crack A Bottle' 418k

'Hold It Against Me' got 411k

Not too sure about any others. It needs to be noted though that 'Right Round' & 'Low' had some airplay before the iTunes release I think, Born This Way & HIAM were both properly OA/OS.

T.I. feat. Rihanna 'Live Your Life' 334,550 (not sure this was its debut?)

Taylor Swift 'Today Was A Fairytale' 325k

Will 'I Will Always Love You' count towards the next US Billboard Top 100?

Sadly not, they have a recurrent rule which means old songs (I think it's 18 months?) can't re-enter under any circumstance. Even if someone died and their track sold a million. Which is ridiculous, but that's the rule :/

 39. What Makes You Beautiful - One Direction

This is doing insanely well with no airplay yet - I have been saying for a while that it's only a matter of time before WMYB becomes huge in the USA so I'm going to be smug about that even though I'm not really happy to see it happening :P

 12. Starships - Nicki Minaj

'Part Of Me' is now over 90% of Whitney, but Whitney might pull ahead again after Glee. (At the rate Starships is climbing that could well overtake Katy anyway).

Adele still has the 3-4-5 for now although it'll probably be reduced to a 5-6-7 with Chris and Nicki climbing (or maybe even a 6-7-8 with Glee's IWALY). Maybe three Adeles in the top 5 won't happen then if Chris and Nicki sell enough :( Pretty massive week for releases by US standards.

1D = #26 now. Wow!! This has all the makings of a phenomenon... I can only imagine when airplay actually kicks in! Getting to #26 with all the Houston and Adele songs above them means an easy top 20 without.

Yeah, again, not a 1D fan but I'm happy for them.

Will be amazing if Ed Sheeran, Emilie Sande and Reb Fergusson can be the other UK crossover acts making it Statesside this year.

iTunes is wrecking my head this week. I can't even begin to predict the Hot 100 or even the Digital Sales chart next week. And I hate that.
