Mixed emotions about Gotye climbing #2 and The Wanted #3

I think Gotye is far more likely to end up challenging fun. for #1, especially as he has far higher streams than The Wanted. (Although The Wanted are #7 in the streams chart already which surprises me :o)

What a brilliant top 3 yet again! All deserve the Billboard #1 and good to see the US waking up to how good Gotye is.

The Wanted's next single in the US is Gold Forever. I personally love the song, but i know a lot of people don't :lol:

I love "Gold forever" actually, but I'm happy they're going with that and not some lame "ft. Pitbull" remix.

I really wish Katy would hurry up with the video for Part of Me. I haven't even heard anything about it! So slow.

I don't know why songs sometimes get deleted once the album is (like with WMYB) out as surely a song can get more sales when it has three versions rather than two? But I'm very pleased to see it didn't hinder One Direction for too long and that they're already back up to where they were before. :D

Yeah, what is the official reason for this? Im guessing so there aren't too many version charting and to try and combine them? Surely delteing the highest charting version can only lose sales in the long run though??

What did written in the stars do?

I don't remember in terms of airplay & iTunes but it peaked just outside the top 10 officially - #12 to be exact.

It got as high as #6 on iTunes and I think low top 20 on airplay (but peaked at #12 on the Hot 100, as Jack just said).

YAY for janelle monae i hope she explodes adele style with her second album.

Well it shot up and then just kind of ran out of steam! I'm not saying Feel So Close will match its run or iTunes peak but it might do the whole "well... that was an anticlimax" thing.

Ugh Gotye is catching up on The Wanted but next week we can exspect a big boost for the boyband when their Us promo kicks off.

Christina Perri is at #32 with A Thousand Years. I wish she'd actually climb because she seems even more frozen than Ellie right now. In other news, Usher is at #45 with Climax. I'm really happy he didn't fall much, he's not far below his initial peak. I think this could end up "Doing a Motivation" after all.
