Well THANK GOD somebody pointed out that One Thing hadn't sold 2 million so far. I was totally just wondering if every single YouTube view had translated into a sale.

^ I'm trying not to discuss Lady Gaga, but she's always cropping up in discussion. :drama: But I think this won't offend anybody, so I'll say it, I guess. :drama:

I agree that Lady Gaga can be around for a long time. Her fanbase is so big that she doesn't need to appeal to the general public to be in the charts. Lots of artists have one massive hit and then manage to be around for 10 years, basically living off how big they were that one time.

On a side-note though, it's good that they don't include Youtube views in the charts, or else One Direction would probably be going to #1 with this song (and all their songs).

I love how All About Tonight is going to be Pixie Lott's biggest selling single, i think it still has around 20,000+ Sales left in it.

382. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight

408. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight

Kiss The Stars is #1 with a 69% lead.

And On The Floor would have been #1 all year! Adele would have been in trouble too.

Ha yeah.

Although looking at the most popular music videos in the UK atm, songs like Rack City by Tyga, and a load of Drake songs would be in the chart, so it wouldn't be all bad.

But yeah, anybody who's music videos aren't of gangsta rappers or young half-naked women will NOT be charting high if they did that.

Just watching the Gotye video on mtv rocks...its so brillantly different than anything else out there - i would love this to climb to the no1 spot if nothing else than to see it being played on mtv hits as well...it would make a change than the boring old rihanna, lady gaga and bruno mars videos!!
Is drake releasing a new album in the next month?

Um...not that I'm aware. He released the album a couple of months ago! :D

Record labels can't use that tactic, because it's iTunes that decide what gets discounted to 59p and put on the front page.

If the choice to discount is iTunes alone, then I assume they still have to pay the record company the full 99p per track though - otherwise they could have a case for suing for lost royalties...

They pay a percentage not 99p. But I can imagine that they discuss with the labels, what gets discounted.
