I wonder if Kiss The Stars would of done as well to get to #8 if it was 99p? Maybe not. Cannot see it doing anything for the album, to be fair i cant see any release or promo helping the album now to be completely honest.

International Love  #16

Earthquake has done so so well, whats its total sales and chart run so far? Still #13 whereas Read All About It (also done well ofcourse) is #69.

Kiss the Stars probably won't do much for her album, since those types of songs don't really appeal to album-buyers. I suppose she needs a Cry Me Out-type hit to sell her albums, but having a successful single is better than nothing at least.

I think Kiss The Stars is fairly similar to Ego by The Saturdays (obviously nowhere near as good) in that they have both been successes as singles even though the previous singles had done their bit to sabotage the album's chances of doing anything. I think the album is well and truly dead, but I agree with Eric that at least a single doing well is better than her releasing something and it missing top 40 as well as the album doing f all.
So what exactly does that 'Digital Sales' link show? I am slightly confused.

I think it's just an estimation of what the songs have sold on iTunes over the past 24 hours.

Although I wonder if whoever made that website knows the pop bars probably (almost certainly) represent more than 24 hours.

TOP 5 is coming.

My iTunes 2011 summary spreadsheet can now be found here :

FYI, it is a 10mb zipped excel file.

Let me know what you think... :)

At first I didn't have a clue as to what information you were trying to impart. Then, when I got over the information overload and worked out exactly how you were presenting it, I'm thinking *wow* how long did it take you to collate all that lot (don't say one year)!

It isn't obvious at first glance that you have months in columns and that is initially confusing, especially when one is confronted with such a mass of data, information overload again :)

Edit -forgot to ask, do the different colours mean anything?

I'm baffled by this. It's her worst single ever.

Yeah me too! It's surely because it's new and it's 59p. I bet it plummets when and if it's put back to 99p

Possibly. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they did like with Coldplay and kept it 59p for like a whole month and waited until it peaked to put its price back to normal. :drama:

As for me, my least favourite Pixie song is probably All About Tonight. My favourites are Gravity, Turn It Up (the final version) and What Do You Take Me For?

From album tracks, I like Coming Home, When Love Takes Over and Bright Lights, Part II (I think this would make a great single if Part I is a hit, as it's very radio friendly, and the type of more emotional song which would sell the album).

Kiss The Stars is definitely her worst single. Her best for me are All About Tonight, Gravity, Mama Do and (especially) Turn It Up.

I definitely agree Bright Lights Part II should be next single, especially if Part I does well. I think it outdo Part I actually, and get her a 4th top 10 this era LKTS does make it officially which it very likely will (who'd have thought :o).

I'm more likely to get nightmares with her siggie posted everywhere. :(

Pixie might even get top 3 after her DOI performance!

Same, I want to turn them off just for that :lol

on the subject of pixie, 'kiss the stars' is my favourite on her album. it's a weak album though, and about half of 'turn it up' trounces 'kiss the stars' too.

my favourite singles of hers are definitely 'turn it up' and 'broken arrow', the former had an amazing single mix which got me even more interested in it as opposed to the album version, while 'broken arrow' from the first listen was just stunning. should have done MUCH more than it did.
