Also physical sales are so small noiw - I mean isn't the top 2 phyiscals at the moment still the Military Wives and then JLS...

and neither are top 40 on the chart

265. The Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be

 Why is this so high? Is it 59p?

And for those of you whining about will.i.am being a bad producer, surely that song proves otherwise? Has everybody forgotten that he's produced songs other than The Time and Don't Stop the Party?

Would anybody even buy a physical of Twilight? The only songs that can sell even minimal amounts in physicals anymore I think are X Factor songs, charity songs and alternative/MOR songs.

Looking at next week I think it's a three-way battle between Flo Rida, Lana Del Rey and Cover Drive really. I'm not sure they'll all top 3 (or top 5, for that matter) but I'd be surprised if NONE of them sold more than Jessie J.

Looking at Youtube views for each of the three contenders was interesting:

Born To Die - 13.1 million (video, since 14th Dec) + 2.8 million (audio, since 1st Dec) = 15.9 million

Wild Ones - 4.3 million (audio, since 15th Dec) = 4.3 million

Twilight - 1.2 million (video, since 25th Nov) = 1.2 million

That makes it look like a foregone conclusion but the fact that I'd imagine a far higher percentage of "Twilight"'s views come from the UK along with the success of the fake version of "Wild Ones" tells a different story.

That's the ALBUM.

That's what I thought, but its got 7inch and the date 23 Jan

SHM are probably not going to hang around for very long then :( I hope they can at LEAST get more than 2 weeks in the top 10...

It's also worth nothing that Wild Ones doesn't have a music video yet, so its Youtube views would be lower in comparison to its popularity (although, like with Born To Die, most of its viewers will be outside the UK).

However, on the list of the most-viewed music-related videos on Youtube for the past 24 hours in the UK, it goes:

25. Cover Drive - Twilight

36. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

97. Flo Rida/Sia - Wild Ones

And for anyone who wants video streaming to be included in the chart, the most streamed videos in the UK on Youtube at the moment are:

1. Jessie J - Domino

2. Cher Lloyd - Want U Back

3. One Direction - One Thing

4. Dappy - Rockstar

5. Rihanna - You Da One

So perhaps those people might want to THINK AGAIN about that.

Songs like Swagger Jagger, No Regrets and Gotta Be You are also still high up, so with streaming included, those songs would've probably actually had long chart runs!!!

If I remember correctly, it was used on Celebrity Big Brother. I remember it coming on and thinking "this sounds better than all the other times I have heard it".

I don't think Will.I.Am is a great producer. Even excluding the terrible TT and DSTP. From the The E.N.D era onwards, only 'Boom Boom Pow' was decent. The only other decent songs ('Meet Me Halfway', 'Missing You', 'Just Can't Get Enough' - to a lesser extent) were all down to Fergie's vocals.

The fact that his solo career still hasn't taken off says a lot.

Awww. I love all those beats. :( But yeah, Fergie does help.

I think his worst beats are actually some of those on the last two Black Eyed Peas albums. Most of the songs are great, but there's a few which are just so boring imo, and they're usually tagged along at the very end.

Shame Gotye is falling again but I guess thats the 'weekend' effect so will hopefully climb again Monday.

Glad they have released Flo Rida, with the low sales it really wouldn't surprise me if it went to #1 (Lana and Cover Drive will also go top 10). If it doesn't then it may just show that the fakes have an effect on the real version. I wonder if they will bring Will.Am forward too? Dunno why they didn't wait until tomorrow though.

I think Born To Die will chart higher than Video Games, but probably not sell as much overall (I know Video Games took a while to take off, but it has turned into a bit of a constant seller), I think Flo Rida has more of a chance of a number 1 given its been released now, I think Cover Drive will go top 5 and may be slightly front-loaded

Edited by C.W

^ I agree that Cover Drive will be frontloaded. They can't not be tbh, given how much radio airplay they've had the past couple of months.

Flo Rida will hang around for AGES I think. Its music video still isn't out yet, and Flo Rida always has good longevity with his songs. Born To Die will probably hang around a bit too.

I really hope all this talk of 'Wild Ones' being a hit doesn't jinx it - it's been 'rush' released and is available now.

Mail on Sunday: 02-20-29

R.O.O.T.S.: 01-18-21-51

Only Flo (Part I): 01-41-64

Only Rida (Part II): 01

^ His discography would suggest 'Wild Ones' will peak either just inside the top 20 or outside the top 40 all together. Saying that, I think the previous album's releases were dire - they were handelled poorly and this shows in that the album didn't even manage a top 100 peak. I'm hoping for at least another top 5 hit, but mainly because having Flo Rida and Sia with 2 singles in the top 10 at the same time is quite amusing.

Seal is performing on Jonathan Ross tonight, it probably do nothing.

 178 Wild Ones (ft Sia. Flo Rida

How likely is it that 'At Last' will be in the Top40 on Sunday?
