I think it's a definite number 1, plus I absolutely love it to bits :wub: The fact it's being held back for 2 months should mean HUGE opening sales too I'd imagine, especially it's the right kind of music to do really well in this day and age.

I wasn't a fan upon first listen - doesn't sound like Alexandra, but I think it could do well in the UK as did 'We Found Love' - simple lyrics, great production. Hopefully she has some good promotion lined-up for it, but we haven't heard of any other big releases for March just yet - so should do well.

I have a feeling she'll be scoring her 4th #1!

I really can't see this being as massive as some are saying, can she still just get a number 1 just like that? I guess I'll have a clearer view nearer the time, but for now, 2-5

I couldn't see it not being number 1 really, unless it does a 'collide' and gets snubbed.

it's totally epic. I was hoping it would be awful so I could go back to hating her, but it's just so instant. deserves to be big. :wub:

This will do one of three things:

 

A) Get #1 on lowish sales and drop out very quickly, a la Start Without You

 

B) Be a genuinely huge #1 (I don't think this is very likely but I'm counting it as a possibility anyway :P)

 

C) Get stuck at #2 or 3 behind a bigger release and drop out very quickly

 

I'm going to wait to see what competition there is to determine if C is a likely outcome before predicting.

Have any of Alexandra's singles (except Hallelujah obviously) gone platinum? That's quite hard to do, would hardly be expected of the lead single from album 2 of an XF artist.

Well, it did 576k in 2009, so it definitely is platinum yeah. But I don't think it's sold THAT much looking at its 2010 chart run. Maybe 750k at a very big push.

Only listened to it once. It will be #1 because it's held back, but i doubt its sales will be groundshaking in the long run. It will however sound immense in a club!

I didn't remember it selling so much in 2009, I thought it was like 400k or so. My mistake :P

 

But still, an XF artist's second lead single can hardly be expected to go platinum. I don't think any of them have. 'Heart Skips A Beat' could get there soon I guess.

Alex's fourth No 1 for sure, it is getting a good reaction online and she is sure to have good promo.
