I swear no-one cared when Glee covered Alone, how is that any different? :lol: Not hating on Glee because I'm a massive Gleek but it's still a cover of Heart, and while I personally love the cover, Kristin Chenoweth's voice is even more of an acquired taste than Alyssa's imo!

Well, if Alyssa is heading for #1 then I'm hoping Madonna's global released 'Give Me All Your Lurvin' sells bucketloads on Friday/Saturday and bags the no. 1 spot by Sunday. Unless 'Titanium' is lucky enough to get there - I'm sure Alyssa's sales will tale off towards the end of the week. 'Alone Again' is exactly the type of track that will be popular for 3 weeks maximum and be forgotton about in 3 months time.

I'm not getting what's so offensive about 'alone again' :unsure: I mean, yes, she did cover the chorus from a classic song sung by a female in the 80s but I don't really find or see why anyone could find her voice offensive. not exactly amazing, but not bad. unless it's the rap verses of course.

 

I think I've said this before, but I find her voice nasally and not at all suited to a song like Alone, its not offensive, but its not particularly good either and not at all worthy of number 1 imo

The next week could be interesting, I'd imagine Alyssa's remixes will begin to fall by midweek and I can see Titanium gaining again at the weekend. Maybe it will all come down to her EP sales. Alyssa will definately be #1 in the mids though.
