it's not as good as Y3X but it's better than the other two.

I don't actually see what's so bad about 'kiss the stars' tbh... I mean, yes, it's generic, but so what? 'different' isn't always good, especially considering that songs like 'give me everything' and 'where them girls at' already fall under generic pop. her voice isn't half bad on the song either. only low point I can really see with it is the video, which is horrible, but so is the video for nicki minaj's 'stupid hoe' in a very similar way and that's getting cheers all around (the song, not so much).

The difference is, big foreign producers can do generic pop and make it sound vaguely interesting. Afrojack completely makes "Give Me Everything", it'd be nowhere as interesting without his production - see "International Love" for proof of that. "Kiss The Stars" sounds cheap and tacky, and Pixie Lott can't get away with excruciatingly bad lyrics in the same way that someone like Pitbull can, because at least with him it's a little surprising. Did you ever think someone would stoop so low as to rhyme "kodak" with "kodak"? No, but it's actually quite funny. I can't really see people making Facebook lyrics out of any of "Kiss The Stars"' lyrics.

So it's looking likely to re-enter the top 10 on iTunes next week as It's only 1.8% behind Swedish House Mafia, what a weird chart run!

Oh! Kiss the stars Part II (The mission) in the iLoons thread

It's looking likely Titanium will be going to number one next week :cheer:

01. David Guetta & Sia - Titanium 100%

02. Coverdrive - Twilight 78.6%

Turn Me On up to #94! :o It doing so well atm is probably a combination of Titanium doing well (all of David Guetta's song are high atm), the song being massive in the US and the video teaser for it being released today. I think the full video comes out next week, so I can see it back in the top 75.
If I was a betting man I'd say that it was a safe bet to be top 20 (officially) at least by mid-February. I just get the feeling 'Turn Me On' is going to be HUGE and everyone will be singing to it and playing it by beginning of March! (Where I'm guessing it'll be about Top 5 by then). Hopefully it will be the massive hit it deserves to be! Nicki's next era is going to be ridiculously big for her over here! (Not "Adele, '21' big", but big for a female rapper/rapper in general)

You know, you might be right. At first I said it "might" go top 100 after the music video, but it's already got there before it, so I'm probably under-estimating it.

Grab that #1 smash 'Titanium'. :w00t: It may only last one week at #1 but what a #1 it would be regardless. Plus by climbing to the top it will have accumulated sales over a long period so in the long run should give David Guetta one of his biggest selling singles in the UK.

David Guetta update:

1. Titanium (ft. Sia)

57. Without You (ft. Usher)

75. Commander (with Kelly Rowland)

112. Turn Me On (Ft. Nicki Minaj)

192. Titanium (ft. Sia)

258. Sweat (with Snoop Dogg)

306. Where Them Girls At (ft. Nicki Minaj & Flo Rida)

363. Without You (ft. Usher)

367. Who's That Chick? (ft. Rihanna)

396. Little Bad Girl (ft. Taio Cruz & Ludacris)

443. Where Them Girls At (ft. Nicki Minaj & Flo Rida)

461. When Love Takes Over (ft. Kelly Rowland)

531. Sexy Chick (ft. Akon)

618. Club Can't Handle Me (with Flo Rida)

752. When Love Takes Over (ft. Kelly Rowland)

826. Crank It Up (ft. Akon) - Most popular album track (apart from Turn Me On), but this is Akon we're talking about, so of course everybody loves it. :D

829. LaserLight (with Jessie J) - I heard this yesterday, it's similar to Titanium

873. Sunshine (with Avicii) - Probably selling well because of Levels

939. Little Bad Girl (ft. Taio Cruz & Ludacris)

I think David Guetta's biggest-selling song is Sexy Chick. Which I imagine must be over 500,000 at least by now. Titanium could beat that I think. It's probably already sold over 100,000.

Lana Del Rey's album is out next week I think. Are there any tracks from it that might go top 40?

Ugh Crank It Up is abysmal

As for Guetta's biggest seller, I was looking at him on Wiki just now and it said Sexy Bitch has gone Platinum (600k), I do think Titanium might beat that (it it's even true, we all know Wiki is hardly reliable :P).

When Love Takes Over must be now also over 500k, isn't it?

It was on 450k at the end of 2009.

From what I've read in the Indie forum, there does seem to be a couple of album tracks that may prove popular as individual tracks. Will be interesting to see if any of Lana's album tracks are cherry picked enough to earn a top 75 entry. 'Video Games' and 'Born To Die' will both get a boost next week as those two tracks are bound to be cherry picked too.

'Sexy Bitch' actually outsold 'When Love Takes Over' in 2009 which really surprised me. I think it was just fortunate to have both 'Sexy Chick' and 'Sexy Bitch' selling - the combined sales helped.

I would've thought it would've been on more than Sexy Bitch but then again this is Wiki so perhaps it isn't true.

'Sexy Bitch' outsold 'When Love Takes Over' by end of 2009, didn't it? 2009 seemed to have many artist's 2nd/later singles outpeaking and selling more than their (already decently big) lead singles.

Yeah, that's true, come to think of it. From 2009 I can think of:

David Guetta - When Love Takes Over - Sexy Chick

Daniel Merryweather - Change - Red

Lady Gaga - Just Dance - Poker Face

Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow - I Gotta Feeling

Tinchy Stryder - Take Me Back - Number 1

T.I. - Whatever You Like - Live Your Life

Eminem - Crack a Bottle - We Made You

Jay-Z - Run This Town - Empire State of Mind

Alicia Keys - Doesn't Mean Anything - Empire State of Mind, Part II

Alesha Dixon - The Boy Does Nothing - Breathe Slow

'Sexy Bitch' outsold 'When Love Takes Over' by end of 2009, didn't it?

Yes it has (but I never said it hasn't :heehee:)

The sales at the end of 2009:

12 David Guetta feat Akon Sexy chick 517240

20 David Guetta feat Kelly Rowland When love takes over 447855

I take it Ed Sheeran performed somewhere last night? His album is now up to #2 and #4 on iTunes :o Perhaps a late challenger for a(nother) return to #1 this week then?
