'Hung Up' was extremely overrated but I liked 'Sorry'. I don't think it is as good as GMAYL though.

 

The only other singles I kinda liked since 'Frozen' are 'Music' and 'Love Profusion'.

I preferred Sorry to Hung Up aswell. I thought I was the only one. :lol: I love Music aswell. It's so groovy. :D I don't think I've ever heard the other two before.

'The Motto' would be Lil Wayne's 32nd top 100 hit as a credited artist and Drake's 14th already. It'd also be the fifth top 100 hit to credit both (after 'Right Above It' and 'She Will', both Lil Wayne feat. Drake, plus 'Forever' (Drake feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem) and 'I'm On One' (DJ Khaled feat. Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne)).

my personal favourite from madonna is 'get together', the really underrated third single from 'confessions on a dancefloor'. a really subtle and stunning track :wub: shame it didn't get that much recognition, especially in comparison with the two singles which were released before it and were huge.

I have a soft spot for Future Lovers off Confessions. Soooooooo good. "There's no love like the future love" sounds like something you'd find in a shitty fortune cookie and I love it. Yes! It's amazing!! Wow. The instrumental reminds me of Pure Shores by All Saints a lot (but a lot slower, more depressing in tone and with a LOT more drums :wub:).

I'm not a huge fan of Madonna but 'Frozen' is easily up there with my favourite songs of all time. The above 7 are the only Madonna songs I'd say that I 'love' at a quick glance through her discography but she has plenty of others that I also quite like.

Not to mention that the US radio is a huge block and barrier for almost everything which isn't US-developed (by that I mean US artists or artists like Rihanna). US market has been very protectianistic for about 10 years at least (maybe much more but I hadn't followed the charts beforethat). Now the situation has got better but I remember the US charts 3-4 years ago. Complete borefest.

 

back in the 90's there were entire charts without a British entry... or maximum 1 song per Hot 100....

i remember when Des'ree reached the top 10 with 'You gotta be' it was seen as a huuge achievement.

the past 3 years has been better thanks to Coldplay & Adele....
