Go Madonna, it's an excellent comeback, though I have to agree with Martin that Nicki's rap seems really jarring :(

It's a good day

This simply has to chart

47. Madonna - Give Me All Your Luvin' (Feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.)

Madonna off to a pretty decent start then! I need to hear this song :P

Probably heading for iTunes #1, could mess up the no-UK/US-lead-artists top 3 (Gotye being #3 in the mids today surprised me, I didn't think he was going to overtake Jessie/Cover Drive by Sunday let alone today - but he could still end up outside the top 3 if Madonna is big enough).

It'll most likely end up doing a Born This Way but on lower sales though, so not getting the official #1.

Both of the above paragraphs based on the assumption it will be chart eligible as Bruce Springsteen was ofc.

 40. Give Me All Your Luvin' (feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.) - Madonna

'Turn Me On' now up to #17 - bloody hell, Guetta could have 2 songs in the top 10 soon. The video effect also seems to be helping TMO more here than in the USA where it's actually the current single

 95. Rack City - Tyga

Eric celebrating.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the Madonna song, a tad unfair on Coldplay if it gets allowed in but like Bray said, so was Bruce Springsteen. Is there a bit of rule bending going on somewhere or is there some very fine small print that I've missed in the chart rules regarding certain ways of making these instant gratification songs chart eligible?

Like I suggested regarding the Bruce incident it's possible the OCC have silently done away with that rule, maybe because of complaints about Paradise not being in the chart. A bit like how at the start of 2011 (maybe a bit earlier than that?) all the fake versions of songs were eligible to chart when previously only a very select few were.

... I'm still confused if its chart eligible or not.

This is following the same path as "Paradise", and that wasn't eligible until the album was released, so "Give Me All Your Luvin" won't be appear in the charts until March 26th, unless the OCC has changed the rules recently.

In the US, they just minus the pre-order track total from the single's total during the album release week.

isn't that her age to? :P

LMAO, that's very good!

I hope this song underperforms, it's such a disappointment. she's better with her dance smashes like 'hung up'. 'give me all your luvin'' is no way near the same level.

It's a pain that iTunes seem not to be able to distinguish legit single track download sales from album pre-order 'instant gratification' sales. I've just downloaded the song as a standalone download, no point me getting it as part of the pre-ordered the album as I always get Madonna's albums physically. I'd estimate that the majority of people downloading the song now are doing the same thing, yet every sale gets made chart/sales ineligible (that's if the rule does still exist of course!).
So in a few weeks we will have Brian May, Mick Jagger and possibly Madonna top 10!
With 'Paradise', is it was given away as a free download for those who pre-ordered the album, wasn't it? But with 'Give Me All Your Luvin', you still have to pay for it when pre-ordering the album.

This is how I initially bought Paradise as well.

(I decided to pre-order the album a few weeks later though to make sure I wasn't going to end up like the failed loon I was for Example and Nero, not downloading their albums until a few months after release  And it downloaded Paradise again annoyingly).

It charges you the 99p for the song, then the rest is charged when the album is released as if you'd done 'Complete My Album'. I'm almost certain this was the same case for Mylo Xyloto as well.

When you pre-order ANY album on iTunes which has a track available, you're charged 99p or 79p instantly for that track, and you're charged the rest of the album's price when it's released. It's not free

Someone should send an email to the OCC to find out if the rule of iTunes preorders has changed, or if they just REALLY don't like Coldplay.

It wasn't only Coldplay that fell victim to this rule - Pendulum and Gorillaz were both robbed of what would easily have been top 100 hits at least (probably even top 40 in the latter's case). Probably some others as well.

Perhaps they're just big fans of The Boss :P

Nerina Pallot All Bet's Are Off making any progress? :(

#376 at the moment

649. I Won't Give Up - Pop Hits!

 Another possible hit for Jason Mraz?
