I'll be voting soon as well. Just finding it difficult to find songs to vote for. :(

"FOR THE RECORD" I've placed a £10 bet on Hendinia to vote in the next 2 hours. Don't let me down Bré!!!

Whaaaat? :o Surely not?

Although it just dived right out of my top 50 from #9, setting a new unwanted personal chart record by being the first ever song to leave my chart entirely from the top ten :drama: I've been waiting for a studio version to leak for three months though so my personal demand for it was sort of pent up massively and then fizzled out quickly after - I'd still like to see it do well though, it's a lovely, melodic song.

Poor Moa :( I didn't want to do it. I had 18 new/re-entries this week and decided 17 of the songs to chop fairly swiftly. It took me ages to find an 18th but I then realised that it was in fact my 51st favourite song of the week and had to leave. Still, only three BJSC entries (not including my own) are actually in my chart at all this week so don't despair!

That's why I have a format to compiling my chart. If I just charted anything even after just 1 listen of a new single I doubt I'd ever compile a chart as I'd never be completely happy with the order. :(

Luckily, there's method to my madness in that I usually just enter new songs at the bottom of the chart and let them climb, rarely is the highest new entry straight into the top ten. Of course this week I had a song going straight in at #1, but that's the first instance of this happening since Nadine's Insatiable (a WELL deserved #1 :drama:). Still, Euphoria had racked up 20 plays from me in the course of it leaking and me compiling my chart and that's more than enough for me to know how much I like it.

I have so many #1 debuts, but the fall of Elephant (1-5-9) makes me see why I really should stop
I question some personal charts though, I mean isn't it "supposed" to be based on the number of rough plays of the particular song in a period of one week and not based on preference over whom..?

My music listening is so spread that sometimes I'll only listen to my #1 four or five times a week, and my #50 two or three times in comparison, so it would be impossible for me to do a chart like that. It's so I don't get bored of songs - everyone else says 'this is so overplayed, I'm sick of it'. I never become sick of anything as I don't listen to the radio apart from the chart, and don't overplay songs myself. I probably listen to close to 700-800 unique songs every week, I'm listening to music in every bit of spare time that I have but rarely the same few songs over and over. Euphoria getting 20 plays in a week was a real anomaly for me!

If I based my chart on just tracks I've played in one week, I'd be hard pushed to compile a top 40. Sometimes I hear a song through watching music channels, or on YouTube. Other times I've played tracks like for eg; LB9 Vs Hitstastic - Grange Hill Can't Handle Me.

Would be odd if a song I produced with another Buzzjack member happened to be the most played song of the week. I certainly wouldn't put it no. 1 in my personal chart.

Don't be such a fanny!

So you can hate my entries, and I am not allowed to?

I blame Pavel. <_<

I never said anything like BRE IS HENDINIA.

People do charts however they want, but mine, for instance, isn't based on plays at all. Just general FEELING. But I tend to play songs that are high in my chart more than the rest anyway.

I agree with Rich.

It can happen that a song premieres, I'll play it 5-10 times in a day, and after a few days I will have played it more than anything else that week. But by the time typing/formatting my chart comes, I may have gone off it slightly, and it won't feel right to put it above 2/3 tracks I really do prefer. So instead, I just base it the same as Pavel - a general 'feeling'. The higher up the song is generally means more plays, but I don't format my chart based on that.

No, as I have discussed at great length elsewhere before, it is up to the individual - there are no real rules or supposed tos which is why it is a PERSONAL chart.

I can hate some of your entries because they're completely different to what you usually send and they're just NOT PAVEL. Whereas Moa isn't far off from my usual style. :heehee:
