February 19, 201213 yr 1. E.T 2. Teenage Dream 3. The One That Got Away 4. Last Friday Night 5. Firework 6. Part Of Me 7. California Gurls I like all of them down to Firework, I'm "meh" with Part Of Me and I never liked California Gurls. It feels like Teenage Dream was the most overlooked of the era, probably due to getting overshadowed by Olly Murs who beat her to #1... and the fact that all her other songs seem to have massive chart runs of course  Edited February 19, 201213 yr by cookie_monster
February 22, 201213 yr http://www.billboard.com/#/news/katy-perry...006251352.story Katy Perry's "Part of Me" rockets in at the Billboard Hot 100 summit, while Adele, the late Whitney Houston, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown all make notable news in the chart's top 10. Following her appearance at the 54th Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, Perry, who performed "Part" in a medley with her former No. 1 "E.T.," engineers just the 20th No. 1 entrance in the Hot 100's 53-year history. Lady Gaga had last stormed in at the chart's top spot almost a year ago (Feb. 26, 2011) with "Born This Way," which also benefitted from Grammys exposure last year; "Born" reached retail and radio the Friday before last year's event, at which Gaga sang it. "Part" marks the first start at the pinnacle for a single on the storied Capitol Records label. The song is Perry's seventh career Hot 100 No. 1. After Capitol released it to radio and retail on Feb. 13, "Part," the lead single from Perry's "Teenage Dream" deluxe edition, "The Complete Confection" (due March 27), blasts in atop the Hot 100 and Digital Songs with 411,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, marking Perry's best career sales week. On Radio Songs, "Part" launches at No. 36 with 35 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. "Confection" picks up where the original version of "Dream" left off: producing a Hot 100 No. 1. Dream matched Michael Jackson's Bad (1987-88) by tallying five Hot 100 leaders, the most toppers from a single album over one release in the chart's archives.
February 22, 201213 yr Does Part Of Me getting the Billboard Hot 100 #1 still count as a 6th #1 from Teenage Dream?
February 22, 201213 yr So she won't have officially broken Michael's record? Thank god. I'd have no problem with her breaking the record but would prefer to do it through a more fair method - not a load of remixes & re-releases.
February 22, 201213 yr Part of Me is off a different album technically so she doesn't have the record, thankfully. It's still very impressive that she managed 6 #1s from the same era of course.
February 22, 201213 yr Amazing that she got another #01 either way, can't remember the last time someone had such a successful era! :o Just wonder if she'll be able to live up to it next album ...
