I can't believe Starships is still going  I know it's got the Top 10 effect now, but I'm amazed at how well it's done as an OA/OS release, because, as many have said, she's hardly the biggest act in UK?

I agree. And Roman in Moscow, Stupid Hoe, Make Me Proud, Y U Mad and the Till the World Ends remix, which were also all OA/OS, did poorly when they were released (or much worse than they all deserved to).

Nicki Minaj just keeps on hitting the charts, between her own individual hits and featured hits she must have made 20 chart appearances in a very short time period???

By my count, exactly 20:

Your Love

Check It Out (will.i.am)

Right Thru Me

Moment 4 Life

Super Bass

Girls Fall Like Dominoes

Fly

Turn Me On (David Guetta)

Bottoms Up (Trey Songz)

2012 (Jay Sean)

Where Them Girls At (David Guetta)

Make Me Proud (Drake)

Give Me All Your Luvin' (Madonna)

Roman in Moscow

Stupid Hoe

And if you include top 200:

Lil' Freak (Usher)

Woohoo (Christina Aguilera)

Monster (Kanye West)

Raining Men (Rihanna)

Roman's Revenge

The next song she's on (from Tyga's album) comes out next week I think. I heard a bit of it already, and it sounds very different to Starships (thankfully ).

Is that all?

Speaking of Starships it's now  to #7!
I absolutely LOVE Starships. Real anthem, although I can't help but use the dreaded "selling out" term here.
Nicki has been talked about constanly over the past couple of weeks weather its to do with stupid hoe or her grammy performance so I'm not surprised Starship is doing so well atm and also the fact its a good song :D .

Starships will be her 17th top 100 hit (and third new one in the last four weeks).

Eric, you missed out Lil Wayne's What's Wrong With Them :P

Emeli's RAAI Pt.III is really tearing me up!

Definitely buying her album this Saturday and I'm hoping she performs this at the BRITs next week (technically she's allowed to since it's a version of a hit song from the past year).

EDIT: Actually is she even expected to perform at the BRITs?

Yeah, it's amazing.

If she performs there, it'd be a great choice of song to do, since those types of songs always seem to do well with performances like those. The only problem would be people might think she's copying Adele's performance from last year.

So I did. And that just reminded me of that Gonhorrea song now. :drama:

She hasn't been confirmed to perform has she?

Currently we've been told that this list of performing:

Adele

Blur

Bruno Mars

Ed Sheeran

Olly Murs

Florence + The Machine

Noel Gallagher

Rihanna

Coldplay

I'm guessing Adele will perform Turning Tables, Rumour Has It or Set Fire To The Rain. Bruno Mars is apparently performing Runaway Baby. Ed Sheeran will probably perform The A Team. Olly Murs is apparently performing Heart Skips A Beat. Florence will probably perform No Light, No Light. Rihanna and Coldplay will reportedly perform Princess of China too.

Why does Bruno always do Runaway Baby at major TV slots these days?

I hope Florence + The Machine do 'No Light, No Light' to possibly give it another new peak but I'd think they're most likely to do 'Shake It Out'.

Think Emeli Sande confirmed on twitter a few days ago that she wouldn't be performing at the actual ceremony, but maybe at some after party's or something!

I wouldn't be surprised if she scored a number 1 later in the year, I'm not surprised this is doing very well, she's in the right place atm, Stupid Hoe did poorly mainly due to not much going for it apart from the video, but when a song is that terrible, you can't expect it to do much :P

I do like Starships, but its not as good as Super Bass

Stupid Hoe isn't really that bad imo, just most of the general public only know Super Bass, so they expect all her songs to sound like it, so Stupid Hoe was a bit of a nasty shock to the Super Bass fans I think.

Not really. Stupid Hoe is unlike anything she has even done, so it comes as a shock to people who are fans of Nicki too... Mainly because its just atrocious, and is only saved very very slightly because she mentions the legendary Roman Polanski ^_^ :kink:

I really like Stupid Hoe

Anyway I estimate Starships will probably only get to #4 if it keeps increasing at this rate. It's currently about 3% of Jessie at #6 but also about 3% ahead of will.i.am at #8.

Hopefully it will reach it by tomorrow morning!

Emeli back up to 65.4% of #1.

'Charlie Brown' finally back in the top 100 (#98) after being knocked out by Whitney - please start properly climbing soon :(
