February 13, 201213 yr Only just finished reading the results, congrats to Dandy*, Foxes managed to sneak into my points at the last minute and I thoroughly approve of the top 2 :D Thanks for all the points especially the two 12s (although I'm worried about Pavel, 30 points in 3 contests! :o never would have expected that!) I ended up slightly higher than I was expecting so I'm very happy with the results.

February 13, 201213 yr Darin is far bigger in Sweden than Tone is in Norway, but I wouldn't say Darin is at all veto worthy if Sabrina Washington and Diana Vickers aren't.

Darin shot straight up to #1 indeed in Sweden as soon as Nobody Knows was released, and it's still there now. All of his new lead singles do the same thing. I can see why they're comparable situations actually, except Tone leaked a day or two before the end of confirmation before anybody really knew it or was aware of it, whereas this Darin song will be three weeks old by the time the semis start, will probably already be in the Buzzjack multichart by that time! It's all about getting the timing right with international leaks :P It's not really my place to say whether or not I think it should be vetoed. I don't think it particularly needs to be in the contest, it will find more than enough exposure on BJ without it through the pop forum and personal charts a la White Light Moment. However, there have indeed been far cheaper/less inspired entries in recent months.

February 13, 201213 yr Well I can reveal that Batidas will not be even considering Darin. I've not heard the song yet but hopefully I'll find a nice gem from somewhere across Europe between now and when confirmation opens.
