I don't see how it would possibly cross any label's mind to drop someone because they had a twitter fight, so I highly doubt that's true.

50 Cent has got into many beefs 10 times more extreme than that and he's still on the label.

What is this thing with female rappers to fight with each other all the time. I like the old 'Not Tonight/Ladies Night' video where everyone was there : From Left Eye to Missy Elliott, Blague, Mary J., Lil' Kim and TLC among others. Social media makes it too easy now to lash out at each other.

Really not feeling either Banks or Haze, they just don't have it for me, although I like 212. Their flow is much better than the hip-hoppers of the '90s, admittedly, but they lack street cred and a distinctive style to me.

I think the opposite actually. There were loads of arguements between male rappers back when I was in senior school, but now there's much less. And I think it's because of the social media explosion. In 2005 a rapper could say he wanted to kill another rapper and nobody would care, because the only people that would ever hear that were like 15 year-old boys. But now if a rapper said that, the wider population would hear about it thanks to the likes of Twitter.

But I think Azealia is in the wrong here. Mainly because she says she's not a hip hop artist, and doesn't want to be included in the genre or its culture, which is fair enough (and true). But then she keeps involving herself in it. If she wants to beef with other rappers, she should choose those in her own genre (i.e. Flo Rida and Pitbull). Because she WILL get covered in the hip hop media if she beefs with a hip hop rapper, something which she claims she doesn't want.

I doubt she's been dropped, but she will be playing a few gay clubs in the next few months (which shouldn't be a problem as half her fanbase is probably gay)

I really don't understand what you are saying at all? How are Flo Rida or Pitbull anything like Azealia at all? And you say she is beefing with a 'hip hop rapper' as if she isn't one herself? That is what she is, all she has said is that she can't imagine being involved in that industry forever and doesn't put all her eggs in one basket when it comes to her career and rapping.

And for the record, she confirmed on Twitter she is very much still with Interscope, thank god. I am worried about her inclusion in the 'Ratchet' single with Beyonce and Gaga now though, especially with Gaga being all about making sure her fans are happy.

I think it's different for male and female rappers though! There's indeed much less rivalry between male rappers (the obvious example would be east vs. west coast), but I feel the opposite with females. Lil' Kim started throwing a fit towards Nicki Minaj and instead of working together all these females just throw shade at each other. It's a bad try at gaining some identity.

Does anyone think that 212 is going to be dropped from radio at some point because of what happened on Twitter? It did seem weird when they played it on Radio 1 this morning.

Why did it seem weird? No, it was one of the big hits of last year so why on earth would they not play it just because of a spat on Twitter? I don't think it will damage her radio plays at all, just maybe lose a few fans.

Only just got into Este Noche  love it

No longer is 'Miss Amor' the lead single, the lead is now called 'YUNG RAPUNXEL' and is released on the 12th of Feburary.

Put that date in the calendars guys. 8 DAYS.

I hope no-one put that on the calender, this bitch is just doing it on purpose. Now claiming that 'YUNG RAPUNXEL' & the album will drop in March, and claims this will be the final delay, not sure if I believe her

However, we are receiving something "fun" tomorrow to tide us over until next month.

I need this already! When's the first single due out now?
God, she really is the most unreliable act in pop
HA

queen of good timing & ACTUALLY a fitting sample!! not listened yet so it might be a disaster but that's a clever move rite

It is anything but a disaster. It is utterly wonderful. She said she did it months ago, but she most certainly left it till the best time.

Finally announced that Yung Rapunxel is being put on iTunes on the 26/3, and that is the final date released by her label for the single release. Not that long now I suppose, I am hoping it will be worth it though, although she has said that like '212' the song is inspired by The Prodigy, so I am hoping she can translate that inspiration into something as outstanding as '212' again.

Please tell me that the name of the album is WITHOUT the hashtag? Otherwise if the hashtag can kindly #fuckoff, that'd be nice.

EDIT: The cover itself is scaring me though. Don't think I could cope seeing that everywhere!

You won't be seeing it everywhere unless you are surrounded by loads of places that sell physical singles :P

Anyway, yeah the cover is a bit scary, but its quite cool as well, I like it.
