Ben, you're missing the 'r' in Pendergrass.

Checking, editing ;)

Quite a senior top 40 so far - the average top 100 stay of the first 7 songs is over half a year! (Mostly because of Rolling In The Deep's 57 weeks to be fair but the other 6 all have at least 15 weeks).

Take Care is now the youngest song in the top 40 so far and even that's on its 14th week :P

Rihanna sandwich. :cheer:

I wonder if Drake will ever get another top 40 hit after this. I really hope so, but I can't see it happening. :( Nothing in the near future anyway.

I have been travelling for the past 5 months so only just heard Take care now - quite good actually!

If Lil Wayne has pulled a hit out of the bag this late in his career there's no reason Drake can't do it (again) :P

this tune got to #5 in the US in 1988 and was used in the coverage of the 1988 Summer Olynpics

And I agree with an earlier poster, Read All About It Part III is amazing from Emeli Sande, hopefully can chart next week
When the video for Take Care is released and can definately see it going back into the top 20, maybe top 10 if it starts getting substantial airplay at that time.

True I guess. I'm sure Drake will collab with Rihanna again, so that will probably go top 40, whenever it happens. And he collabs with Nicki a lot, and she seems to be getting more and more popular.

I agree. I won't get my hopes up for it charting next week though, since it's only #34 on iTunes and dropping. :( The only album tracks I can think of that climbed on their 2nd weeks are Someone Like You and Lighters, so it's possible, but unlikely.

Now that was interesting! Reggie just admitted that Emeli Sande's Heaven is "up a massive 14 places". (It's moved from 49 to 35.) That's either a change of policy or a slip-up, as the R1 show doesn't usually acknowledge places outside the top 40. They would normally just say it's a re-entry.

Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down went 52-48 in its second week - although it dived to #76 in its third week. It then shot back up to #35 in week 4 for reasons I can't remember.

Still LOVE this, definitely shaping up to be one of my all time favourites :o
