Ugh, this (Chris Brown version obv) is going to be huge isn't it :( It's just a really average retread of the first 2 singles from 'F.A.M.E.', I don't get why so many people seem to love it so much.

I thought this might happen to Skyscraper - big enough fanbase to get her into the top 40 despite criminal lack of airplay. If they pick up on it now it can still be a major hit. Why hasn't Heart playlisted it? Baffled by that

I knew Wild Ones would stay top 10 for ages, because Flo Rida releases before he even has a video, so when the video is out it keeps it there even longer. Love it, and Love Sia so i'm happy for it to stay around for a good while, like Titanium. :dance:

 

Yeah exactly true his name gets him top 10 straight away then the video releaese and increasing radio airplay keep it top 10 and on quiet week mean it could well get to no1, like good feeling!

 

Its a good release strategy!

Didn't Skyscraper go to #1 on the US iTunes back in August or something? Why is there such a delay in releasing it over here? Disney acts rarely do well in the charts (even Miley had pretty 'meh' success besides The Climb) so I wouldn't be suprised if this goes in at #34 or something and plummets the next week. :(

I'm sure they will playlist it eventually though, it's perfect for that station I think, and would be one of the best songs they play, when/if they start playing it. I only started hearing Dynamite on Heart in summer last year, for example.

 

I can see them also starting to play Titanium sometime. It's quite "loud" by that station's standards, but they do play Only Girl all the time, so they could get away with Titanium imo.

I certainly hope so. This years run of UK #1 single up until today have been great. Next week will see the UK shamefully be restored back to "normal" and we'll just have another wave of absolute crap topping the charts. The worst thing about 'Rockstar' is that it will be #1 on iTunes by tonight, but this time next week is bound to have been overtaken by Gotye, and possibly Flo Rida, Emeli Sandé etc...so a one week wonder, and then out of the top 40 within 6 weeks. Dreadful, yet another #1 based on hype rather than musical merit. :manson:
