Carrie Underwood at 452?! Bitch please, that's at least 450 places too low -_-

Shocked to see BigBang appearing quite a few times, albeit in the lower end of the chart :o

Daydream Believer for #1 please

Monkees singer Davy Jones passes away :(

for younger members, ask your Mum

Indeed, my Mum loves the song (and probably the band too). I personally know it from SingStar and really like the track so wouldn't mind if it got a boost.

R.I.P.

I'm surprised at both those things (the former being so low, I know she's not popular here at all, but you'd think at least top 300 :drama:, and the latter ones being so "high", considering some songs that sometimes miss the top 1000 altogether).

Like I said in the US iTunes thread the other day, the difference between Carrie's success in the US and the UK (if you can call the latter 'success' at all even in the most minor of senses) is pretty unbelievable.
Oh I didn't expect her much higher, it's just with the looning head on it's like she NEEDS to be far higher :P

The Monkees - Daydream Believer is at no.187

So sad that Davy Jones has died though, saw him on that BBC2 Boyband documentary just the other day :(

Off topic, but The Wanted are #5 on the Billboard Chart this week! :o :cheer:

That's amazing! :o So their chart run is now: 85-64-40-30-25-23-5

Doing a "Gotye" and increasing every week. The appearance on Glee really seems to have helped them, but strangely enough the Glee effect has worn off, but they're still climbing. They'll be up to #2 soon, since Far East Movement will be frontloaded and free-fall in a bit (how many days do we think it'll take for them to drop from #2 to out of the top 10?).

Interestingly, Katy Perry has dropped 1-4. So you can get those drops from #1 with on air, on sale aswell. I think The Wanted could climb to #4 in the Hot 100 next week, being behind Adele, fun. (I can't believe an alternative song is doing so well atm! :o) and Kelly Clarkson.

It hasn't been that long since the last 'alternative' top 3 hit :P Gotye is #8 on the US digital chart as well but is screwed over on the Hot 100 by its appalling airplay (fun. are also #1 on the digital chart by some distance but their very low airplay means they're 'officially' only #3).

The airplay rules annoy me too, in a way. But only because they hurt many songs that I like. In the year-end charts last year, I remember some of my favourite songs like Look At Me Now and Black and Yellow being really high up in the Digital chart, but then because of airplay they were low in the official year-end Hot 100 chart. :(

And a lot of songs I like, such as Young, Wild & Free by Snoop Dogg/Wiz Khalifa, Strange Clouds by B.o.B, No Sleep by Wiz Khalifa, and so on shoot straight to #1 on iTunes, but then the Hot 100 chart comes out and they're sitting at #9 because of such little airplay. :drama: Really pisses me off tbh.

Was the last alternative top 3 hit Pumped Up Kicks? I heard that was at #3 for a while. :kink:

Gotye's airplay isn't that bad though. I mean, you'd think it'd be worse. And it's got more airplay than B.o.B, Far East Movement and Carrie Underwood's songs which are also in the top 10, and by more established artists in the US.

Oh wow at Azealia! #62 is ridiculously high. I swear it was #77 what seemed like 5 minutes ago.
Rihanna's supposedly confirmed 'Birthday Cake' as the fourth single from 'Talk That Talk' - though it's the Chris Brown remix she's chose to release. Hopefully it's announcement and availability doesn't affect 'Talk That Talk' with Jay-Z's chart performance - they need to hurry up with that video.

The availability is no more. The Birthday Cake remix has been taken down from iTunes, because it was apparently an "illegal" uploading of it (like what we had a couple of years ago with Billionaire).

And We R Who We R got very high because of the same sort of think I think...

02. Dappy & Brian May - Rockstar 71.6%

03. Emeli Sande - Next To You 67.5%

04. Flo Rida & Sia - Wild Ones 64.8%

05. Nicki Minaj - Starships 61.5%

Dappy should be at around #04 on iTunes tomorrow, I can see this failing to pass 200,000 sales tbh, I can only see it being top 10 for two weeks, It should be around #05 on iTunes come Friday, maybe even lower as it's dropping fast.

10. Matt Redman & L27 - Twenty Seven Million 35.7%

11. David Guetta & Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On 35%

28. Demi Lovato - Skyscraper (This always seems to increase towards night time, Hope it manages to remain top #30)

If we're lucky, maybe the Monkees will push them down a bit...
