I would have thought Military Wives have the Number One album sewn up.....

Who would actually be interested in an album by them? They'd need at least 50k to beat Springsteen, good on him releasing straight into the Mothers Day storm - getting a #1 album will be even more impressive than usual.

Beginning to get irritated by the fact MW don't publish the midweeks daily anymore, no excuse really as they're obviously being compiled and it's just treating their paying subscribers like crap. Think I'll end my sub now.

I suppose it doesnt help that sites like this pretty much publish everything available. Why would people subscribe if its free here and elsewhere..thats leads to reduced subs and finally stopping all info because they ultimatly can't afford it

'The fastest selling album'? Of what?

A few news sites are reporting it's set to be the fastest selling album ever  Words cannot express how much I hope this is bullshit.

4th top ten single in a row for Pixie Lott then. Even her first album didnt manage that but strangely the album sold miles more! Marcus is dropping on itunes now. Already no10 so is likely to drop down the charts later in the week. Bottom end of top 10 likely for him.

'Bright Lights' isn't from her album so it doesn't really count.

(Before you say it, I know there's a 'Bright Lights Part 2' on there - but that's not the same thing).

Young Foolish Happy does have more top 10 hits than Turn It Up anyway though, as Turn It Up only spawned two top 10 hits while Young Foolish Happy has 3.

Marcus will probably get a top 2 album next week, and a number 6 for a cover that has divided opinion is actually very good. Well done to him
So an album of fiercely political, divisive music is going to be held off no.1 by an unimaginative set of covers. Hope you're happy Britain.
Hmmmm. Telegraph and Mirror are also running this report. Surely it cant be true. I wasnt even aware they had released it until today. -_-

It sounds too far-fetched to be true. Like when it was reported that Wherever You Are was outselling Cannonball by 100 to 1. I assume they mean fastest seller of the year and have somehow jumbled that to 'fastest seller ever'.

I bloody hope so anyway. Surely it couldn't possibly be on course for 700k+?

I could possibly see it on course to be the fastest seller of the year, but even then I doubt that enough people who fell into the 'aww it's for a good cause so I'll buy it' catergory for the single will do the same for an album.

If it's on course for 700k+ then I am BAFFLED, I know this is the sort of music that typically sells far more albums than singles but I can't see how even more people would buy the album than the single...

I assume they meant 'of the year' - for which it would need 'just' 117k to beat Lana's total...

Yesterday, The OCC told me that they do not know where the 'Mirror' got the

story/idea from, that the Military Wives Album was going to be the fastest ever

seller, in the UK.

The OCC told me that it was the first they'd heard of it.

Basically, some Journalist, (or a Military Wife!), has made up the story,

because it sounds 'Newsworthy' - and now other Sites etc. are copying it.

The Military Wives Album may well be No.1 on Sunday, & it may well

have big UK Sales, but, I doubt very much, if they will be the fastest

UK Sales ever. Nor do I think it will be No.1 for more than 1 Week, or

in the Top 10 for very long.

We may just as easily see Bruce Springsteen at No.1. Which would be

his 9th UK No.1 Album. Either way, I think that those 2 Albums will be

at No.1 & No.2 on Sunday. The only question, is which one will be at 1,

& which will be at 2.

Not sure if Marcus Collins position is good or bad for him given how poor the single is combined with the fact they spent about 10p on the video. If he misses the Top 10 that wouldn't be good for him though.
