March 6, 201213 yr Author Album cover would be better if it had a picture of the prison on it. :D ??? One is confused, Mr Ren.
March 6, 201213 yr Author Think he might be mixing up Strangeways. Oh I see! I was just youtubing Keane and I realised how much I really do adore Bedshaped.
March 6, 201213 yr "Somewhere Only We Know", "Bedshaped", "Spiralling| and to a lesser extent "Is It Any Wonder?", "The Lovers Are Losing" and "Stop For A Minute" are all great, so I'll be interested to hear what this is like. Can't see them having a fifth straight no.1 album unless it's a dead sales week, though.
March 10, 201213 yr Wasnt spiralling released as an OA/OS release which was strange for the time meaning it only peaked at no23 or something, great song though.Could have been no1 had it been held back!
March 11, 201213 yr The lead single, "Silenced by the Night": 3rfcGlpSAC8 It's decent, but not as good as anything from Hopes and Fears or "Spiralling" - I hope for good things though from the album; is there anything worth listening to from Night Train though, as I never listened to it at the time.
March 11, 201213 yr it sounds more in the vein of their first two albums rather than their recent stuff, but I do like it - I feel I've gone off them in the past few years, but they really did do some great stuff before (Everybody's Changing remains my favourite  )
March 11, 201213 yr Wasnt spiralling released as an OA/OS release which was strange for the time meaning it only peaked at no23 or something, great song though.Could have been no1 had it been held back! Spiralling was given away as a free single (like Violet Hill) which damaged its sales. I don't think it was quite released On Air/On Sale either... Not sure on the latter point though.
March 14, 201213 yr Another album I can't wait to hear! I just have to hope it's better than their last effort.
March 20, 201213 yr Here's a radio rip of "Disconnected". There were original murmurings that "Disconnected" would be the first single in the UK whilst "Silenced by the Night" would be the first single in the US. They've already shot the video for "Disconnected". "Disconnected" is the first single in Germany by the sounds of it and will probably be the second single in the UK. March 20, 201213 yr Confirmed that Disconnected will be the first single released in the UK. I have high hopes for this album!
March 21, 201213 yr Confirmed that Disconnected will be the first single released in the UK. I have high hopes for this album! Disconnected isn't the first single in the UK. It's already been confirmed by Keane themselves that Silenced by the Night will be the lead single in the UK. It had its first UK radio play last week on Fearne Cotton's Radio 1 show.
April 18, 201213 yr The video to Disconnected is set in a 70's-esc haunted house, interesting idea! Hope SBTN picks up and breaks into the top 40, the album should go number 1 with any luck
May 15, 201213 yr Absolutely zero discussion on this album? Suprised to be honest, considering this went #1. The album is pretty solid throughout, albeit a very safe sounding album for Keane. It's not taking any form of risks like Perfect Symmetry did which I thought was a much better album. Soverign Light Cafe is the standout track for me.
May 15, 201213 yr "On the Road" wins the award for 'Bruce Springsteen-est Song of the Year', which is quite an achievement in a year where The Boss himself released an album.
