Commentary

 

Euphoria by Swedish singer Loreen makes it an easy five weeks on top, way ahead of Mirakel by Björn Ranelid and Sara Li which moves back up a place to its peak of No.2, swapping place with Danny Saucedo's Amazing which completes the Melodifestivalen top three, sliding a place to No.3...No.4 and No.5 also swap places, with New Zealander Ria climbing to a new peak of No.4 with The One and Australian singer Gossling dipping a spot to No.5 with Wild Love...In the album chart the Melodifestivalen 2012 compilation stays at the top for a second week, Military Wives debut at No.2 with In My Dreams, Lana Del Rey and Emeli Sandé's former chart toppers switch places at No.3 and No.4 respectively whilst Andreas Johnson moves into the top five at No.5 with Village Idiot!

Pastora's song is a pretty good ballad imo, I wonder how it will do in Eurovision? Some people think it'll bring them back to the top10, others think it'll flop. I'm a tad unsure. Should definitely get our 12 anyway...

Andreas' career has carried on in Sweden, he's had a load of great songs since Glorious such as Sing For Me and A Little Bit Of Love, both 'classics' there :wub: Shame he was a one hit wonder here although what a hit it was!

 

I really like Ai Se Eu Te Pego although I can see why it would become annoying, hope it gets a UK push, without a translation, as it could be huge anyway here!

 

Pastora will probably finish mid-table, the juries should love it but I can't see the public latching on to it much, decent entry though!

That said, I prefer Colours at the moment...Donkeyboy's newie is great, their most poptastic single, maybe to date! Goosebumps is great, I feel like in a hands of a great artist it could have been a contender to win perhaps, I love the pause before the 'yeaaaaaah'!

Definitely. Not being a bitch but people have seen enough of Madonna gyrating over the last 25 years. What she should be doing now is showing that she has some class (GMAYL wasn't terrible in that regard, but Girl Gone Wild is slightly :mellow: for me, and I'm anticipating it too, though mostly because of William Orbit and apparently because it's nothing like the singles :lol: ) Yes mine too, it's back in for me this week, and it might stick around now, as I'm pretty excited to see her at Lovebox :wub:

Definitely. Not being a bitch but people have seen enough of Madonna gyrating over the last 25 years. What she should be doing now is showing that she has some class (GMAYL wasn't terrible in that regard, but Girl Gone Wild is slightly :mellow: for me, and I'm anticipating it too, though mostly because of William Orbit and apparently because it's nothing like the singles :lol: ) Yes mine too, it's back in for me this week, and it might stick around now, as I'm pretty excited to see her at Lovebox :wub:

 

Have you heard the clips of Mirakel in different languages, it's thoroughly amazing! Oh really, 12 points from Hendinia then? :P It's not often that I don't get to the entries that I want, purely because nobody's usually heard of the songs/artists that I send before the contest, I rarely send tracks that are even partly hyped, so I'm not that fussed to lose Laleh. I love Wild Love anyway so I'm quite happy with it as a replacement!

 

Totally agree, Madonna got it spot on with the Ray Of Light album and I wish she'd do something more like that. It was respectable and showed a lot of class but was also hit and melody packed. Presenting herself as an enduring sex object in her 50s is not the way that I particularly want her to go!

You're wrong about Katie, it's not boring, it's gorgeous :P Oh dear! Troublemaker was completely forgettable so I'm not surprised to hear that you forgot it. Hangover is much better, really catchy and surely another UK top five hit for him. I don't mind him getting hits when he brings a melody along for the ride.

Colours is so gorgeous, I split my time listening to the original and the Armin van Buuren remix, both are great! That Katie song isn't anything like The Flood, more of a string laden jazz ballad, I love it though! Isn't the original of that Hook n Sling song by Angus & Julia Stone? I think so anyway!
