It's SOOOOOOOOOO weird seeing Sean Paul at #2 in the UK.

Especially once you've heard the song...

Sean Paul is the latest mid-00s superstar to make a surprisingly massive comeback in 2011/2 then :P Fantastic to see him at #2, like I said I expected it to go low top 10 but I really did not expect it to overtake Gotye  Great to see Labrinth up to #4 as well, looks like JLS are going to be stuck at #6 for now though :(

Sean Paul's first top 5 hit since 2005. Bizarre. I think it'll be #3 though by the end of the week. JLS #4 and Labrinth and Nicki fighting for #5.

I want Katy Perry with "Part Of Me" will be No.1 and the fantastic song "A Real Hero" to be in the Top 100 this week!!! It's a great song and it's still out of the Official Chart!! Sounds like a great track from eighties..

I'm surprised at Sean Paul I didn't expect him to take off like that, if I had to pick which track I want at #1 between the top 2 I have to go for Katy Perry.

I do wonder if Gotye will return back at #1 next week, as apart from Plan B there is nothing else, unless Katy P manages a second week or Nicki Minaj back on the rebound when she releases her video, I rather have artists staying at the top for a few weeks, instead of the weekly #1 turnover.

You Me At Six #24 :cheer: should be their biggest single as a lone credit, can't imagine it'll match the peak of "Rescue Me" but it's been climbing for longer than I expected so who knows?

Seven Nation Army is really falling fast. :o

Loving the pop. bar shots. Always good to see them, thanks for posting.

EDIT - is it next week we have the Plan B vs Chris Brown battle? Isn't there someone else involved in that battle too?

Katy Perry for number one this week for sure. Do we reckon she could get over 80k sales?!

I reckon Plan B will take the top spot next week for sure.

Now  #22

Shake it Out  #26

Go In, Go Hard - Angel  #39 - possible new entry this week then.

I really want Plan B to be #1 next week. He's really fighting for opportunities and respect for youths in the UK and 'Ill Manors' has alot of depth to the lyrics and it'd be nice to have a British #1 with a message behind it (rather than the likes of Cher Lloyd, Nero and Wretch 32 from last summer). He just done a 23 minute presentation speaking about Britain and the current youth scene which is really interesting if anyone wants to take a look..

From the bars it looks like katy perry could sell around 80-100k,sean paul 60-65k,gotye 60k,jls/labrinth 50-55k and nicki 45-50k(she needs a video soon as she fell to 52k sales last week!

Would love plan b to be no1 next week but i doubt he would be able to sell 70k in a week he would need.he actually hasnt held his song back too long which may be good for prolonged sales?

Why do you mention Wretch and Nero? Wretch 32's song had possibly the best lyrics of all the #1s that year, and Nero are producers, and that song had an incredible instrumental imo.

Wretch's song was quite forgettable, imo. It was "nice" at best. It also didn't hang around long and it was pretty much a non-event of a #1. 'Promises' was a decent production but again, another non-event.

Plan B has the whole anti-government message, the UK riots references, a very strong and raw video complete with a movie coming out around it as well. It already seems like it's going to be massive, but if it misses #1 to the likes of Katy Perry or Gotye (in his sixth week) i'll be pretty annoyed because it's not often a UK artist uses their status to fight for young people and criticise the government.

I'd rather have teeth pulled without anaesthetic.

Seriously though, you've no doubt wondered why I'm *so* anti-rap. Well this song illustrates one of the reasons why - it lay out the issues, but fail to mention that (IMO) the people he's supposedly speaking on behalf of, are a major part of the problem. If they want change, they'll have to change themselves, too...

I really like She Doesn't Mind, it's his best single since Temperature, it would be shock if he overtakes Katy!
