Rule The World used to be my favourite Take That song but some time not that long ago 'Patience' suddenly clicked with me and way overtook it in my estimations (hence its inclusion in my long list). Rule The World is still my second favourite of theirs and Back For Good third. I can't stand the TT songs with Mark Owen's vocals, 'Shine' is one of my least favourites of TT2.0 (TT1.0 were pretty appalling in general bar a few songs but TT2.0 are almost the exact opposite).

Anyway, should probably get back on topic now :P

53. Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol

91. New York - Snow Patrol

WHY have more people been compelled to download a song that's been completely unavoidable on the radio for the best part of six years and has already sold well over 800k, than an actual new song by the same band? :drama: I have no words UK public. (Apart from those ones).

08. Jls - Proud

20. Rihanna - Talk That Talk (Reduced to 79p)

35. Olly Murs - Oh My Goodness

39. Lmfao - Party Rock Anthem

47. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go

52. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Out of Take That's recent songs, my favourites are Shine, Love Love and Kidz.

I've never really liked Take That, the only song I find decent is Patience and I love Ruth Lorenzo's cover of Love Aint Here Anymore

For the same reason I also have a lot of love for some random flops from the 80s like Suzanne Vega's 'Marlene On The Wall' and Bruce Springsteen's 'The River' (which remains my favourite song of his)).

Did you just call Bruce Springsteen a flop artist? The River hardly falls into that category, the album's sold over 10 million copies worldwide, and S'steen has never been a singles artist anyway.

I wouldn't know about the album, I just know the song 'The River' only peaked at #35 and was released decades before I was born so it seems a bit unusual that I know it and love it so much. Bruce is obviously not a flop artist, it'd be ridiculous to suggest that :P

Then again I suppose the same applies to Summer Of '69 by Bryan Adams which is really well-known despite missing the top 40.

My favourite songs of all-time:

Lady Gaga - Dance in the Dark

Led Zepellin - Stairway to Heaven

The Beatles - Let it Be

Michael Jackson - Dirty Diana, You Rock My World

Kanye West - Homecoming

I forgot to include 'Homecoming' alongside the other two Kanye songs on my list. The coming together of my 2nd and 3rd favourite musical acts ever (Coldplay and Kanye West respectively; I'd say it's pretty obvious who's #1 on that list).

The Prodigy, Coldplay, Kanye West and The Killers are probably the only acts with significant sized singles discographies where I can honestly say that I love almost every one of them. The latter two are slightly lower because they have one each that ruins it (Stronger and The Cowboys' Christmas Ball respectively) while I would literally rate every single by the former two at least 8/10. Partially because I'm quite generous and partially because I'm a massive loon.

Kanye West has too many good songs for me to list, but I'm listening to Flashing Lights at the moment, so I'll say that's awesome. It's so dreamy. It makes you feel like you're flying up in the sky through clouds.

I agree, there's too many!! He's my favourite (living) male artist, and just miles ahead of everyone else imo.

Apart from the obvious ones Coldest Winter is a hidden album gem for me. The beat and lyrics are just extraordinary!

I noticed Kanye is a bit lazy with some of his remixes though.

I try and say this without coming off as a Kanye obsessive who memorizes all his songs, but I was listening to his remix of In the Dark by Dev and he uses the same raps as he does on Alors on Danse. I think when he was recording In the Dark he heard that it's very similar to Alors on danse so thought he's just re-use the lyrics. :drama:

To be fair, he has to rap on hundreds of songs. I'm surprised he still has any ideas left in his head for new songs!

Decades before you were born? The River was released in 1981. As Brett-Butler said earlier Bruce Springsteen isn't really a singles artist. He had a few big hits from Born To Run but most fans would rather forget about that

Decades before you were born?

I'm guessing he was born in like 1996 or something? So that's aboout 1.5 decades. So yes, decades before he was born.

That would be like me trying to claim that WWII finished (1945) decades before I was born (1960).

It says his birthday is november 19th 1996 on his profile

I'm assuming you mean Born in the USA, as Born to Run didn't have many hits off it (at least not at the time anyway). I've always said if I ever got my hands on the master copy of Born in the USA, I would remove every single keyboard and synth from the mix. It's a good album, but I think the arrangements deserve a little sparseness.

I wasn't being 100% serious anyway. But you could argue anything over "1" is plural I geuss, even though it sounds weird and mis-leading.

The bit in bold, I think that about so many songs in the chart at the moment. And I'd add more percussion to most of them aswell.

Probably why I like Somebody That I Used to Know and Rack City so much.

On this note, it's good to see International Love down to #31. It seems to have been top 20 for months. I'm fed up of it.
