JLS & David Guetta are both decreasing fast and the gap to 10 isn't as high as usual, hopefully Plan B can get in there as long as it keeps climbing

Plan B up to #12 - go top 10 already :(

I'm reverting to hoping for it to go top 5 now then :P

The whole '4' era has been a complete mess thanks to the record company deciding to release some *ho-hum* single choices. 'Run The World (Girls)' killed the era before it even got started - it doesn't matter how many Buzzjackers adore the song, the sales clearly speak for themselves.

'Best Thing I Never Had' was, imo, the first proper single. It was also the first actual "song" to be made a single. Whilst 'Love On Top' is ok it's not single material. It amazes me that the record company didn't think 'End Of Time' would make a worthy single instead of the dreadful choice that was 'Countdown'. Bizzare!!!

I really, really, really hope it can go top 10. I think maybe it could climb during the week? I don't know, but since it's actually *out* now, maybe I could see people discussing the song throughout the week and it increasing in sales from that. It's the sort of song people would probably start a conversation about.

Where are the tech savvy Rihanna stans at?!!?!?!

There wasn't a megahit on 4 though. I think they thought Run the World could become a massive girl power anthem but it didn't work at all.

I agree with that bit. It was the wrong first single and turned alot of people off.

End Of Time is the best single choice so far, but it doesn't look like radio is going to support it.

Can't believe that awful Chris Brown song is #1. Much rather prefer Katy had a second week - even if it's one of her weaker songs!
For all of you Liams out there, you'll be happy to know Sexy And I Know It is on Dancing On Ice again! :)

I was prepared for it :( They alway do their favourite routines and I had a feeling Chico would use that.

WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL BUYING IT?!?!

I don't think most Rihanna fans actually hate Chris. They both do pretty much exactly the same music aswell (pop, hip hop, dance and RnB), so if you like one artist, you'd probably like the other.

Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, etc. fans probably hate him more, but unfortunately there's not many of them in the UK.

I agree. They probably thought it could become a cultural phenomenon and female classic like Single Ladies did (which also was NOT the most commercial song ever, let's be honest ).

I think a difference was that Single Ladies smashing the charts at the same time as If I Were a Boy (like Titanium and Turn Me On are doing now). They were like polar opposties, so pretty much everybody who hated one song would like the other. But for those people who hate Run the World, there really wasn't much of an alternative at the time.

I can see it being used on Britain's Got Talent aswell. Infact, I can't see it NOT being used at some point.

Me, Miranda Lambert is my 4th fave singer ever :P Rihanna being 5th. And I don't mind Chris Brown

Surely the dumbest thing ever? Rihanna fans don't hate Chris Brown because of his music... :manson:

I mentioned Miranda Lambert because she had that massive arguement with Chris a few weeks ago.

SHOCK HORROR, someone has a different opinion to yours.

Love On Top has been one of the most successful RnB songs in recent times, and went top 10 on iTunes as an album track, and Countdown started charting BEFORE the album was even released, so I could understand both of those songs being promoted as singles.

HOW DID I MISS THIS?!

Reading some of her quotes now, what a QoL:

'So that’s why my daddy taught me early on in life how to use a shotgun'

I still don't hate Chris. I have the opinion of Miranda on the fact he beat Rihanna but I still like a lot of his music.

She had a go at him at one of her concerts aswell. She was holding up an "anti-Chris Brown" sign and everything.

It's understandle that you could miss it though, since those artists obviously don't get as much media coverage in the UK.
