Did anyone just catch this? Drama set in Leeds, following the lives of five members of a supermarket's syndicate who win the lottery.

I really enjoyed the opening episode; there's a great cast, with some superb actors (namely Matthew McNulty from Misfits apparently who was superb in his role). My only downside would be the portrayal of Leeds as being shit, but I complain about it enough myself, so I shan't be too offended.

I enjoyed it actually - lots of potential and I want to know about the hidden pasts of a few of them. Will be watching next week for sure.

Sort of reminded me of The Cafe and Trollied on Sky1 - a good bit of new comedy/drama.

The blonde girl seemed like she was in witness protection or something to me.

I thought it was okay but it felt like it was missing something to make it great, will stick with it next week though.

I love this show  I love the scenes where the big lady has her teeth whitened and she and her friend are clothes shopping!

Did anybody stick through with this? I watched them all, and I thought it was a great conclusion! I loved how the narrative was retold a bit in each story (similar to another drama, One Night, which I loved watching recently).

Brilliant choices of actors too, with one of my only nitpicks being that the same police officer attended to three cases in the space of two months or however long the series lasted!

It was announced today that it's been renewed for a second series though, which is great news - it'll be interesting to see where they go following the death of Jamie...

It was very good so I'm glad there's going to be a second series. It was very noticeable that they left the door open for more.

The second series trailer premièred last night, and unfortunately it's featuring a completely different syndicate! I'll still watch it, but if they keep resetting the scenario for every series, it'll get a bit tired. I can't find the trailer anywhere, but the members of the new syndicate are played by Siobhan Finneran (Benidorm), Alison Steadman (Gavin & Stacey), Mark Addy (Game of Thrones), Natalie Gavin (Prisoners' Wives) and Jimi Mistry (EastEnders).

Looking forward to this! The first series was great although the last episode was actually the worst in that series.

Will have to give the trailer a look. I'd heard it was a whole new syndicate/cast which will hopefully be alright but I would of loved to have seen more of the other cast.

Not aware of any of the actors, but I'll still watch it all the same. I'm not getting my hopes up for it to be as good as the first series (unless it has the same writers). I don't have a problem at there being a new syndicate, but I still wish there was a Christmas special or something which explained the events after the first series.

I knew that man was a wife beater - you could tell when he grabbed Mandy's arm at the beginning and how scared she was.

I thought that episode was brilliant! Very funny scenes with the whole writing phone number one the back of the ticket issue. It was nice to see them bring Denise back too, she was definitely my favourite member of the syndicate in series 1.

Denise's reappearance was gold! She rather annoyed me last year, but with her not being part of the syndicate, it was a nice relief from stressing about the ticket. Overall, the characters do seem nicer than last year's too, so I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!

I was quite impressed overall, I was thinking it would be a let-down from the previous series, but it's already equally as good. Plenty of ideas which will no doubt be developed in future episodes; I'm intrigued by the domestic abuse storyline.

Another great episode. Got a little slow halfway through, but soon picked up at the end when Tom met his dad and his mates turned their backs on him. Next week's episode looks fantastic!
Brilliant episode tonight, Rose has become my favourite character in this series of The Syndicate. She reminds me of Denise Welsh's Waterloo Road character Steph Haydock - a bit naughty yet very supportive and friendly. I loved the scene with her and Alan, I found it very funny, emotional and romantic. So happy this benefit fraud situation worked out for her. I love the writing behind this show because it never fails to keep me hooked. Definitely the best TV show of recent times, hopefully there will be a couple more series out of this.

Tonight's was the best of the series so far; I wasn't keen on last week's at all because the Tom character couldn't act for toffee, but Alison Steadman was excellent tonight. I'd like it more if there was a bit more of the non-focus characters per episode, as I really like the Becky/Luke story, and Mandy's is great too.
