Was just about to post this in the other thread when it got locked.

-x-

Ok, so, One Direction's debut hit #3 in about in hour due to obsessive fangirls staying up to download.

It was because of the pre-orders all being lumped onto it the second it was released. I don't know if Bieber had pre-orders but if he did then expect a high debut for him. Same goes for Usher.

I just went and downloaded 'Climax' now, really hope it does well  Looking forward to seeing its debut.

Didn't see "Mercy" enter the top 40 but it's now back down to #40. Probably going to have a "Strange Clouds"-esque chart run at this rate.
Duffys Mercy?

No, Kanye's.

You know it's time for bed when you're too tired for sarcasm.

57. Purple Rain - Prince & The Revolution

Obligatory BGT slot I assume?

79. The World's Greatest (Radio Edit) - R. Kelly

84. The World's Greatest (Radio Edit) - R. Kelly

As above?

71. Together In Electric Dreams - Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder

76. Together in Electric Dreams - The Human League

I LOVE this song  Would be fantastic to see it back in the top 75 which it should do assuming these are combined (I assume they're the same version of the song despite the different iTunes credits? I wonder which one it'll show up as with the OCC... I'd hope they'd credit it to Philip and Giorgio). This is on an ad right?

Also on an ad (AFAIA):

64. Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles

This must be one of their most downloaded songs now, weird as it wasn't a single... they just have far more well-known songs than singles I guess

Top 100 songs that were sung on The Voice:

37. Without You (feat. Usher) - David Guetta & Usher -_- I didn't even think the perf of this was that good.

38. Someone Like You - ADELE

47. Rolling In the Deep - ADELE

55. (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding

92. Closer - Ne-Yo

Edited by M.I.É.

 19. Boyfriend - Justin Bieber

Slightly more like the debut I was expecting. I guess this #19 includes people that stayed up to download as well as the pre-orders. I expect it won't keep climbing this quickly for much longer.

No Climax in the top 300 yet so I assume it wasn't put up for pre-order - hopefully it can still outchart Bieber but I doubt it. It's right at the bottom of the list when you search 'usher climax' which probably won't help it, hope they fix that ASAP. The same thing meant that 5 O'Clock seemed to be a huge flop at first but then it got to #1 on iTunes a few days later.

Are iTunes planning on doing this to every male-led RnB song then? :drama:

So which position will that little w*n**r Justin Bieber stall at then?

No.19 hopefully!!

But nah, he'll probably reach No.2, before Usher overtakes him

Oh god this looks bad. Seriously, this is looking likely to be his highest peaking UK single.

For most artists we'd be saying Guaranteed number one by now but we have to assume (And hope) he's hugely frontloaded!

Justin Bieber  to #14. I think it has a good chance at #1.

By the way, why do a lot of people think Usher will go to #1?

He's still not in the top 200, but that's due to it being a bit difficult to find the single, took me a couple minutes of searching thanks to all the fake versions -_-
