fun. will get to #2 in no time. Wasn't expecting to see Sway overtake Sean Paul :o He easily has a top 10 place in the bag now, just a question of if he can stay as high as #7!

 13. Blackout - Breathe Carolina

Still climbing? Could this even break the top 10 on iTunes? Then we'd have a top ten half full of new releases!

 43. LaserLight (feat. David Guetta) - Jessie J

Shooting up at the speed of light, no pun intended. If radio catch onto this quickly it could be in the top 10 within a couple of weeks.

 59. Go Your Own Way - Lissie

Suddenly so high again? Ad songs always have random fluctuations though I guess.

 65. Somebody That I Used to Know (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

Probably not high enough to become the eighth official top 100 hit from series 3 (after the first 2 series each delivered over 60 hits, what a contrast that this series is going to have to do something drastic to even get to 10).

EDIT: Oh wait, the episode hasn't been broadcast yet has it? In that case this could go top 100 then.

 100. Never Let Me Go - Florence + the Machine

Finally showing its face in the top 100! It was #82 officially last week. I hope it can climb from there and go at LEAST top 75. Looking likely to be their lowest peaker but then No Light, No Light seemed that way as well until the BRITs performance caused it to go top 50. Can they pull a similar boost out of the bag with this? :P

A bit random but Otis Redding is still at #47 with '(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay', amazed at how well it's held up since its performance on The Voice.

Correct, it airs tomorrow ^^ I think it does stand a chance of being top 100 officially :) What an appalling chart history over all for season 3, especially in comparison to season 1 & 2 where there'd be a top 40 hit every other episode. Stupidest decision ever chart-wise moving the show from Monday to Thursday (and moving it from e4 to sky - affected the ratings massively!)

The success of Breathe Carolina really has surprised me, probably more than it should considering it reminds me of 'Shake It' by Metro Station and that was a fairly big(ish) hit in the UK.

Excellent seeing fun. up to #5 and hopefully if pop bars are close between 2-5, then 'We Are Young' should shoot up to no. 2 in no time. :D

Christ at Breathe Carolina :o It reminds me of Good Girls Go Bad, except it wasn't anywhere near as big in the US and it's a bit bigger in the UK!

Jessie J never fails to surprise me either with how quick her sngles climb before official release!

Good Girls Go Bad is also what I thought when I heard 'Blackout'. It's far better though. Never liked GGGB.

Apart from 'Who You Are' I presume... :P

Well, technically Who You Are went top 40 like 6 months before its official release. :kink:

On that note, I wonder if anybody will perform We Are Young on The Voice. That would be sure to boost is to #1 imo.

Yeah, I remember it being a blip on my radar when it reached the top 30 on Billboard, but then disappeared without making a bigger dent... Didn!t think it would bother the top 40, let alone get dangerously close to the top 10 on iTunes.

Also, can someone explain this fun. thing to me? It's your regular party song, only in Fall Out Boy style... the only redeeming thing about it would be Janelle Monáe, if you could, you know ACTUALLY HEAR HER over the la la la. To me it's no better than a Ke$ha or Pitbull.

I don't really get that - it's far from a proper indie/rock song but it's far from a club banger as well.

It just has a really good anthemic chorus. The verses I could take or leave and Janelle's part is completely pointless.

Is "Never Let Me Go" the theme for Titanic 3D? Or did i dream it? Surely if it was it'd get a boost somehow.

Neither really, it was just a random rumour that never came to fruition.

 It's about partying, getting high/drunk and meeting someone. Dime a dozen of these, imo. I guess I just expected something else after all the hype. :)

It may have similar lyrical themes but it's COMPLETELY different musically.

Glee Update ['Glupdate' :kink:]

 59. Somebody That I Used To Know [i reckon this could potentially be top 40 on iTunes after the episode airs tomorrow!!]

 133. Fighter  [My favourite song of the episode]

188. TTYLXOX (From "Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance'') - Bella Thorne

To be honest, 'We Are Young' isn't exactly an instant song. When I first heard it, I sort of liked it but nothing more than that. It's one of those that when I hear them more, they slowly start to niggle at the brain and eventually I start to like the song much more. 'Somebody That I Used To Know' had the exact same initial impact on me. Some songs just require a few listens before they click - they, imo, have ended up being some of the best songs I've listened to. :D

On first listen I rather like 'We are Young' it's good but nothing more.

Some tracks do take a while to 'grow' though. For example when I first heard 'Paradise' I didn't think much of it, considering it very dull. But then I grew to love it :)
