As much as I regard it as a non song, I prefer 'Can't Say No' to 'Boyfriend' quite easily.

 

Also is Sway's track the one that samples 'Gonna Make You Sweat'? If yes, that's another track out this week that doesn't appeal to me. :( (well, the sample is excellent in its original C & C Music Factory form :D ).

I don't really see the similarity between Can't Say No and Boyfriend, they do both sound quite Timberlake-esque but they don't sound like each other.

Just occurred to me that we could genuinely have a top 10 with no Brits in it at all this week, for the first time in chart history (unless Sway gets in there). Dramaz. It sort of happened a couple of times last year where there were no lead British acts, but Lauren Bennett was there on both occasions as a featured artist on 'Party Rock Anthem'.

Nope, that's Skepta's 'Make Peace Not War' which isn't out for another few weeks. I don't think Level Up has a sample in it, although it wouldn't surprise me if it did and it's just a song I've never heard before.

I believe you may be right, having searched Chartstats for the artists on this page. There may be Canadians who have had a #1 here but not in the USA though (such as Carly Rae Jepsen this week) but it's probably a fairly safe bet that it's never happened.

 

Fingers crossed Usher will overtake Bieber and it won't happen anyway though. Now up to #27 and Sway up to #31. Breathe Carolina have cracked the top 100, now #83.

 

Rainbow Mix version of We Are Young at #32 - heading for the top 40 unless it gets deleted.

Breathe Carolina #83 bodes well for top 40. Pleasing to see Usher climbing so quickly but he's still far too low. As long as "Climax" is ahead of "Boyfriend" by Wednesday-ish ^_^

While it has every chance of getting to #1 still, I can't but think that it may turn out to be the next MLJ. This week it will be Carly or Justin at #1, then I can see one weekers from Conor Maynard, Calvin/Ne-Yo, Tulisa (now out 30th apparently), Rita Ora etc. Then the new Wanted song is out at the end of May. It wouldn't surprise me if it gets stuck to be honest if its released early <_<

Whilst I completely agree that songs get held back far too long and it does effect things, I now don't think T.H.E, Rockstar would have been #1s anyway. Of course most of the songs I've mentioned will likely be extremely front loaded, I can see Rita Ora going 100k + week one. I think Tulisa will do very well as well (you only need to see her youtube views so far). Plus some songs have been held back 6-8 weeks and still got to #1 (i.e. Hot Right now) which I heard back in December!
