When's Calvin Harris releasing his new album? It would be incredibly unlucky if this peaked at #02! I'm not sure if It will get to number one though because Call Me Maybe is also #08 on the Album Chart also and the instrumental version is also #409.

He said he's 'not necessarily' releasing an album, there's still not a set date for it although it's been over a year since Bounce and months and months since Feels So Close.

I'm not sure why we're comparing Calvin Harris with Delta. Both are great songs in their own right/genre and both deserve to be UK hits, except only one is getting blanket airplay and support.

Yeah, it's pretty generic to be fair. Bounce was the least generic of Calvin's recent songs imo, because of the weird instrumentation. Sounds like something from a Mario game. :lol:

I don't think 'Feel So Close' was generic. I mean, whilst it was a club banger like lots of others in some ways, it had its own unique standout qualities.

Neither was 'We Found Love' really. Calvin Harris is just a really good producer :P

^Exactly, I know Let's Go is very generic, but its the 'good side' of generic imo :P it sounds a lot more fresh and well produced, rather than cheap and overused

Fairly huge - fun. are at 0.6. At the rate Calvin is shooting up I think he has a decent chance of getting to #1 anyway though :D If not he'll be stuck at #2 for a third time in a row.

 

I'm surprised at how well he's doing without a video TBH. Normally only OA/OS songs do this well without one.

Not yet no - it needs promotion really. Even if they service it to TV and Radio and see what happens from there. It can't be that hard to do

Well to be fair, her last release here was a whole 7 years ago now. I love her but her name hasn't really been heard of here since then, a lot of people I know also don't even know who she is. :(

Come on Calvin! As much as I love Call Me Maybe, I really want him to go #1.

I feel like I've definitely heard of Delta but I can't say I know anything whatsoever about her besides her name and the fact that gooddelta likes her.

 

Let's Go at #4 already aaaaaah. Still fairly hopeful Carly can hold on but it will be close.
